QUOTE (SoxAce @ Nov 19, 2009 -> 04:21 PM) C.J. Retherford is 4 for his last 36. (for anyone who sucks in math, that pencils out to a .111 average) OT: But Jose Tabata.. I love that kid. Very good discipline hitter (comming out of the Yankees org) for his age and a good lookin spect. Nice future over there for the Bucos. So does he play for the Yankees or Pirate org?

QUOTE (Sec101Row1 @ Oct 22, 2009 -> 10:53 PM) I stopped by Camelback just to see the park when the Sox were out of town last spring. I told the guy blocking the entrance my son and I wanted to check out the park, he said pull right in and park by the Indians team bus (no charge). After walking around for a 1/2 hour I bump into, not 1 but 2 Sox - Indians games right next to each other, with a grand total of about 10 people in the stands. I get as close as I can and look over and I'm right next to Coop on a golf cart, he's watching John Danks on the mound. Also got to see Viciedo, Tim Rains Jr. hit a triple. Also heard a the guy next to me talking Sox baseball on his cell, Bruce Levine doing the Score update, talking about a possible Buehrle injury (same as every spring). As we left we stopped by the other game, Brandon Allen walks to the plate and hits one farther than I've ever seen anyone hit a ball in person, over the fence, the landscaping, the walking path and landed in the middle of the pond. BTW They've added a 2nd Cubs game at CR on Sunday March 7th. Similar thing happened to me. After the Sox/A's game last March my cousin and I walked back to those fields in the back. We saw the Indians and Dodgers playing a pair of games. Tommy LaSorda drove past me in his golf cart, I waved as he passed and he waved back and said "Hey guys!" as he drove by. I actually took video of all the players walking around past me and scouts taking notes, I should upload the video and show you guys. This is the only video I have uploaded currently..... http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=1126222798746

QUOTE (League @ Nov 9, 2009 -> 07:22 AM) They're not going to change John's jersey. Having Jor. Danks on one is more than enough to distinguish them. Not to mention that if you see one doing anything other than pitching, you had better know which it is. Didn't they change the LaRoche's jerseys to Ad. and An.?

QUOTE (danman31 @ Nov 8, 2009 -> 11:12 PM) JorDanks works because that's probably what's going to go on his jersey if he plays for the Sox. Heck, we'll probably see that in spring training. That is also part of the reason why I started calling him that, and Johnny will obviously become Joh. Danks. Sucks for people who will have to buy a new Johnny Danks jersey!

QUOTE (The Baconator @ Nov 8, 2009 -> 01:45 AM) Agreed. D2 is good, and I'm also a fan of the classic 'Jordie' Hmm, I have never heard D2 before, but I think its pretty good. I will probably just call him Jordanks, or the usual name of Jordo.
-
Just as a quick note, what do you guys think of the nickname I made up for my fav. prospect Jordan Danks. I made this up basically right after we drafted him, but have not been on this site since hell, LANCE BROADWAY was the last fan club I was a part of. lol. jorDANks? Thoughts? For you slower peoples, it's Jordan and Danks in the same name.....

What about the Sox signing Hideki Matsui as our DH for a couple years? Would he cost too much? Would Thome come cheaper? Godzilla is 35 years old, but almost OPS'd .900 last year and is a career .292 hitter with .370 OBP.

Will CQ be back for the Indians series?
ChiliIrishHammock24 replied to knightni's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Someone told me today that they heard Quentin will be back for the Detroit game, but I really doubt it. I hope he is on the playoff roster (if we make it), and can play game 4 or 5 of the ALDS, if needed. -
Cassel earns Southern League ERA title

3.11 is pretty high for league best. Must have been a hitters league. -
Hudson - 5 IP, 4 K's? He's lost it.

White Sox Player/Pitcher of the Month: August
ChiliIrishHammock24 replied to Kalapse's topic in Pale Hose Talk
The only run Bobby allowed this month occurred yesterday, right? I vote Bobby. -
Danks and Becks each go 2-5 with 2 singles. Danks struck out twice, Becks had 3 RBI. Morel went 2-3 with his 5th HR, avg up to .290.

Booo. What a boring week with all this bad weather.

12 Ks for Hudson in 6 IP? Damnn. I have no clue who he is as I pay no attention to anyone not named Danks, Beckham, Silverio, Cook, and maybe a couple others I cant think of ATM. Has Hudson been doing well the whole year, and does he have any future with us?

Authentic black Carlos Quentin jersey with my Dublin BlackSox fitted hat. I used to wear my White w/ pinstripe Konerko one, but why even both when I got my Q-uperman one! And I also bring my Q-uperman sign with me. You may have seen me with it before, it's pretty damn popular every game I go to.

Silverio has 25 errors already!?!?!!? Move him to 1B already...

So who is going to make the Swisher "phantom bump" .gif?

wasnt Danks supposed to start tonight?

QUOTE (kevo880 @ Aug 18, 2008 -> 09:37 PM) That wasn't former sox farmhand De Los Santos that pitched tonight against Kanny was it? I was wondering the game thing. Is Salem a farmteam for Oakland?

QUOTE (JorgeFabregas @ Aug 18, 2008 -> 07:22 PM) Serious? Seriously. I guess he was pulled from the game yesterday, and didnt play today. Could just be nothing, but I can't see why he would be pulled after only playing like 2-3 games.

I heard Beckham was injuried.

Man, Chad Tracy would be perfect for us...

QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Jul 30, 2008 -> 03:58 PM) GROSS. Are only two remaining chips for an oft-injured 1b/3b and a pitcher that can't hack it in the TERRIBLE NL West???? If you are trading for a project, I'm not giving up Fields and Poreda for it. Terrible choice of words. "Hack it" He CAN hack it. -
