  1. Remember when PK used to kind of lean back right before the pitcher was about to throw, then he'd go from there, up, and then right into the pitch? Maybe he needs to go back to that??
  2. I really hope we can make a move for a SP or a position player. Too bad there's no way we can get a guy like Roberts or Duchscherer. Odalis Perez? Before his last start, his ERA was under 4. Now it's at 4.3, though...
  3. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jul 29, 2008 -> 05:31 PM) Thats what I thought a few years ago. Of course they could suit up 15 junior high players and will still give us a tough contest. They weren't 5 deep in the rotation in 2005. This year, they are. Now add Tex. Ballgame.
  4. This has to make Anaheim the best team in baseball. If we meet up in the playoffs, they're going to be tough to beat.
  5. Richard needs to throw more off-speed pitches tonight. It seemed like vs Texas he threw too many fastballs and ended up being beat. His fastball is a good pitch, but it isn't when you throw it 80% of the time. More change-ups from Richard means it should be a good day- just look what happened when he threw them vs Hamilton.
  6. QUOTE (Jimbo's Drinker @ Jul 29, 2008 -> 12:15 AM) No, I would prefer Owens at CF and Swisher at 1B at this point. Good lord. Owens isn't exactly an OBP guy and he isn't exactly a BA guy, either.
  7. QUOTE (Frankensteiner @ Jul 28, 2008 -> 10:51 PM) Anyway, going back to Konerko, this made me chuckle (from Mark Gonzalez's mailbag): http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sp...1,5299442.story Maybe he got off the HGH?
  8. QUOTE (Jimbo's Drinker @ Jul 28, 2008 -> 11:35 PM) Dick Allen is right and wrong. He is right that Swisher is just as useless. He is wrong to keep defending Konerko. PK and Swish are the worst back to back combo in baseball. We need a change and now!!! With terrible offense and defense from Konerko and with terrible offense from Swisher, can we continue to win??
  9. In Kansas City I might try to start the "Get a hit Paulie, get a hit *clap clap*" chant.
  10. QUOTE (Brian @ Jul 28, 2008 -> 09:26 PM) Was it close to going out? My MLB.TV picture was kinda fuzzy. Saw enough of Soriano's hop where he almost mistimed it. I believe Soriano caught it right at the track.
  11. Going to be tough tomorrow with Richard going. We need to split this series, though.
  12. QUOTE (stretchstretch @ Jul 27, 2008 -> 10:02 AM) Bos X 2, @Oak, NYY, LAA.......I'd argue to the contrary And Tampa.
  13. I'll take Halladay from Toronto and in return I'll give them Vazquez and Richar. BTW- See my sig. It speaks for itself on what I think about Javy.
  14. QUOTE (lostfan @ Jul 27, 2008 -> 05:03 PM) It's pretty sweet that his extension is based on escalators and de-escalators depending on how well he does as a WR. He'll get about 4 mil a year otherwise. He could make 10 mil a year, but I doubt that. What he said. Way to go, JA!
  15. Can't win them all. Like somebody said, I would have loved the sweep by 2/3 isn't bad. Now we must atleast split in Minnesota. Go get 'em, boys!
  16. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Jul 26, 2008 -> 09:42 PM) Why would they? They'll still win the wild card, but if they lose the division, they'll get the NL East winner instead of the NL West winner in the first round, and that's a HUGE difference. With only 1 NLE champ, the 2 who don't win the division will win the WC, IMO.
  17. QUOTE (DABearSoX @ Jul 24, 2008 -> 02:04 PM) You know he could take the money and use it for a nose job and cheek lift so he is never recognized again... What I find hilarious is that they actually made a Law and Order episode based on what happened during that game. All true except in the episode the guy gets killed for doing it.... Noooooo wayyyyyyyyy. Are you serious?
  18. Dye needs to stay at 25 and Thome needs 16 more votes, then, to tie. Good luck.
  19. QUOTE (stretchstretch @ Jul 26, 2008 -> 10:46 PM) MN says hi And I give MN the bird.
  20. QUOTE (ChiSox35 @ Jul 26, 2008 -> 10:42 PM) Whoa thanks for the link. I attended Opening Day so I never got to see that. I love giving somebody something they've never seen/done before. Cool.
