QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Sep 24, 2014 -> 11:47 PM) Top 11 this year, because the Astros failed to sign Aiken, so they get the #2 pick next June, which pushes all the other picks back a spot. So, because they didn't get Aiken they get a re-do? Odd. Thanks, btw.

Chris Sale
QUOTE (iamshack @ Sep 24, 2014 -> 04:07 PM) Great season, Chris! Agreed. Sale had an amazing season and if he had been healthy, and pitched brilliantly in those 5 weeks, he missed he very well could have won it. But, alas this isn't the year he brings it home.

Chris Sale
Sale is 8th in fWAR in the AL, but has 7-8 less starts than Kluber, Felix, Price, Lester, Hughes, and Scherzer. ERA title is nice, but ERA isn't that tall-telling of a stat. I think Kluber should win the Cy Young. He has the best fWAR, best FIP, and second best xFIP in the AL for starters.

9/24 at Tigers
QUOTE (JoshPR @ Sep 24, 2014 -> 03:01 PM) Stay classy tigers Please. Ever since they started winning, they've been a pretty classless team. Miguel Cabrera, one of, is the most classless player in the league, yet is beloved. I'll never understand it.

And that's a make 'em sweat White Sox winner
Didn't the case be that Johnson was hurt and didn't tell anyone? (Even though, it seemed fairly obvious from his numbers).

Stadium
QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Sep 14, 2014 -> 11:45 PM) Are you saying it wasn't cookie cutter? Because the Cell was about as cookie cutter and generic as possible when it was built. It was awful. Absolutely nothing unique about it. If you're implying it looked like Three Rivers, the Vet, Busch II, Shea, etc, I disagree. I agree the old colour scheme was boring, but its not a cookie cutter.

Stadium
QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Sep 14, 2014 -> 08:16 PM) Disagreed. They got a cookie cutter stadium that was built and is pretty easy to renovate. They just built Bacardi at the Park(whatever they're calling it these days), and the neighborhood is improving(more so, the good areas are slowly expanding). The city also won't let them move, especially considering the Rock Island stop at 35th was built specifically for them. I would personally love them to move along the river just south of Roosevelt and Clark as you can have the skyline, lake and feature the Chicago River which no one has done. Another site I would look at is where they were going to build the Spire just off of the top of my head. Um?

2015 Offseason
.225/310/382 / 92 wRC + / 20 HR / -0.5 fWAR I don't know how much of it is age, or that injury he suffered in the playoffs, but after 2011 he completely fell off the cliff.

Would you still be a Sox fan if they moved?
QUOTE (Tmar @ Aug 15, 2014 -> 08:24 PM) I'm not a fan now

Would you still be a Sox fan if they moved?
Cubs would probably be my new team because they're Chicago, but if an AL team ever came in I would end up rooting for that hypothetical team. Similar to when the Sox almost moved to Seattle. Charlie O who owned the Oakland A's planned to move the A's to Chicago and Comiskey park and rename them the White Sox had they actually moved. Side question: had the Sox moved to Florida chances that there would have been an AL expansion team in Chicago in 93/97?

Screw the NYC Review Crew and Blowasavio
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Aug 13, 2014 -> 05:19 PM) As far as Rick Hahn goes, he's done one good thing in the last year or so, and that's Jose Abreu. (I'm not even going to give him credit for Rodon, because the Astros are 50% responsible for bungling that one). Other than Jose, there would be a tremendous amount of pressure on him to keep his job for 2015. Wot. Its his second year as GM, and only first year in a rebuild. Give it a little time, man.

I have always under valued Quintana.
QUOTE (soxfan49 @ Jul 23, 2014 -> 10:59 PM) They would go to a 6 man rotation? I think he may be referring too having some better depth in the rotation other than Riezno, Caroll, Surkamp, etc.
