  1. How likely is Samardzija moved via waivers?
  2. Casper wells pitched p well too, I think.
  3. I still believe they'll regret not moving Shark.
  4. QUOTE (shipps @ Jul 31, 2015 -> 11:59 AM) Trade Samardzija. You will be glad you did it later or regret not doing it if you hold onto him. Yep.
  5. I really hope that the guys the Reds got from SF, and the Tigers from TOR aren't the deals we walked away from because we got hot.
  6. Sucks Detroit flipped Drew Smyly and Austin Jackson for Toronto's good prospects.
  7. QUOTE (Baron @ Jul 29, 2015 -> 10:51 PM) He just cleared out the top of the Rangers farm system. Yeah what a shame. Didn't realise that. My bad.
  8. Saw Slipknot last night. They put on a v good show.
  9. QUOTE (BlackSox13 @ Jul 29, 2015 -> 07:06 PM) Josh Reddick. Ditto
  10. No thanks. Cargo (I assume you mean Carlos Gonzales) is always hurts, and is expensive.
  11. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jul 28, 2015 -> 02:53 PM) ha, no. Q's age and performance is right there. Any new info w/r/t Samardzija being traded?
  12. QUOTE (kwill @ Jul 28, 2015 -> 02:49 AM) Would you trade Rodon+Shark for Tulo? Potential ace controlled for Tulo's big contract and his injured past. Pass.
  13. I like the move for the Rockies. Reyes' contract is s***ty, but it pales in comparison to Tulo's. Moving that is a win here by itself, not to mention the Jays threw in Castro and 2 prospects. Can you imagine Tulo's health playing on turf? Bad stuff.
  14. QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ Jul 28, 2015 -> 01:09 AM) KW is in charge. Really upsetting as a fan.
  15. Fangraphs, brah. (4.4 fWAR) http://www.fangraphs.com/leaders.aspx?pos=...=2015&ind=0
  16. These three days should have helped our run differential.
  17. I know Puig is a v solid player, but I would hate to give up Q. You never know how Puig reacts to the AL, we know what we have in Q. Shark for Puig I would do. But would LA? EDIT: Forgot LAD's stockpile of OFers.
  18. Who would be a realistic guy the Sox would/should target? I assume it would be someone they could slide into their line up right away or next year.
  19. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Jul 23, 2015 -> 12:26 AM) What's a league average SS hit? My guess is it's a lot lower than people think. Given his solid defense, it might not be that unrealistic to think Tyler can be average major league SS. I think calling him a AAAA type is a bit premature. Not sure if this is how it works, but: Brad Miller has a 101 wRC+ (closest to 100) and has a slash line of: .239/313/395
  20. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Jul 18, 2015 -> 10:47 AM) You want crazy, southsideshowdown.com threw out this idea recently: 3B Todd Frazier for SS Tim Anderson, RHP Frank Montas, and 3B Trey Michalczewski Is 'fansided' SI's version of SB Nation? I think ESPN does that now too.
  21. Not that anyone asked me, but I would love to be the new play-by-play guy (well actually, the Brewers' , but I doubt he's going anywhere).
  22. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 16, 2015 -> 02:01 PM) Daron Sutton is my dream announcer for the Sox. Ewwww.
