  1. QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 5, 2012 -> 07:36 PM) Interesting. I was only familiar with the Rangers SS prospect with the weird name. Profar's uber prospect status has undoubtedly overshadowed Odor's potential. Still need more performance data, but he held his own as a 17 year old in A ball last season.
  2. QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 5, 2012 -> 06:18 PM) Uh....who the hell is batting 3rd for Hickory? http://www.milb.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?s...hicafx_kanafx_1 Rainy night in the Carolinas. The Rangers 5th best prospect. He's more than just an awesome name.
  3. Ben Badler ‏ @BenBadler Reply Retweet Favorite · Open Herky jerky lefty who's very, VERY raw. Low-A start is extremely aggressive RT @SportsOnFilm What do you know about Jefferson Olacio (CHW)?
  4. Erik Johnson to remain in extended. Elbow tendinitis. Hopefully he makes a quick and full recovery. Looking forward to following him.
  5. Because it's a rather insignificant signing of a marginal player.
  6. Didn't grasp it was April Fool's day, but the first thing I thought was that Pineda is injured and Danks can't be traded yet. I couldn't wrap my hungover head around it.
  7. No mention of the Alex Gordon extension or did I miss it? He is the third following Perez and Escobar that Dayton has signed this offseason. $37.5MM over four years with a player option for 2016 at $12.5MM. Nice to see the Royals lock up some of their own talent for once.
  8. Man. The Royals could be something special if they get some pitching soon.
  9. Minor league OF depth. Needed after losing Brandon Short. Nothing more.
  10. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Mar 17, 2012 -> 10:42 AM) $27 million comes off the books in Peavy and Pierzynski next offseason. You're telling me you can't upgrade a roster given $27 million? I think he's questioning if the bulk of the roster would be worth adding to if the young guys prove to suck. I'm not sure I know the answer to that. Especially if the Tigers are indeed as dominant as some people think.
  11. QUOTE (BigEdWalsh @ Mar 12, 2012 -> 08:49 PM) Right on. That said, I like it. I'm digging the games down in Arizona even though the Sox are pretty much sucking. Ya have to just appreciate the little things. No doubt. s***ty team or not, I'll watch. Baseball is still awesome.
  12. QUOTE (zenryan @ Mar 12, 2012 -> 08:22 PM) Anyone but Florida but go Miami. Got swept vs Florida but really blew the finale. Blew a 2 run lead in the 9th when our closer, who has been battling an injury, got bombed. I really like Peter O'Brien. Probably a late 1st rounder.
  13. I have no rooting interest, as I only follow for the sake of high end MLB draft talent. I've been watching plenty of Stanford and Florida so far. Some Clemson, Miami, and South Carolina too. Still not sold on Mark Appel as a 1-1 guy. Love what I've seen from Zunino and Preston Tucker so far. Unsure on Brian Johnson. Stanford is stacked. Piscotty, & Mooneyham have impressed. Jake Stewart and Gaffney are interesting too. Kind of down on Diekroeger.
  14. It's the kind of tagline you use when the team itself is going to be s***ty.
  15. QUOTE (BigEdWalsh @ Mar 12, 2012 -> 06:32 PM) Trayce Thompson is impressing me. He's been swinging a pretty good bat. 2-2 and nailed a runner at the plate. If he improves on his contact rate and pitch recognition, look out.
  16. Lol Ken Williams Jr. pinch hitting. Or he was a defensive substitution that wasn't previously mentioned
  17. QUOTE (flavum @ Mar 10, 2012 -> 04:58 PM) Wild pitch. 2-2. Can't say I'm happy about it. I'm rather indifferent to the White Sox winning or losing for all spring training games.
