Will someone please explain the $31.5 MM bonus? I thought it was paid at signing. If not, how much is left? Etc.

Sox need hitters. Abreu is their best hitter. Why trade him? But, the Rockettes will absolutely salivate at the thought of Abreu. First Base is their biggest weakness (along with bullpen). They might overpay. They think they can win in 2017. Rodgers and Dahl are studs. Gotta get one of them. Murphy is very good catching prospect, better than anything Sox have had in years. Plus, Rox have another outstanding catching prospect, so one of them is expendable. Hoffman has been a disappointment. Maybe it's Coors Field syndrome. Tapia is overrated by you guys. McMahon is, too. Stay away. Rox have a couple of lower level position prospects who are Very interesting.

What are the Sox plans for this guy? Coats certainly put up the right numbers at Charlotte last season. .330/.394/.519/.912. Those are better numbers that the outfield prospects we are looking at put up. Yes, roughly half a season at Charlotte. Still, Coats has hit well at every stop in minors. Plus he can play defense and run a little bit. If Melky goes to DH and Avi goes away, there should be a spot for him in 2017. Hope we don't trade him without giving him a real opportunity.

How does anyone come up with a stat for pitch framing?

Who said White Sox can't develop position players? Who's on Third in Charlotte in '17? Peters, Delmonico, Trey M? I enjoyed the article, Julie.
