I read the entire article. Thanks. George Allen was a personal favorite of mine. Still, the medical reason for his death did not come from a professional, but from his son, who may have had other motives. That said, he never really recovered from the drenching.

Throwing a huge amount of ice water or gaterade is stupid. It's childish. Why do it? Because we won a game in April? Somehow it became fashionable, because it's on TV. Many of you are not old enough to remember, but this practice killed, yes killed old football Coach George Allen. It was cold out, he caught pneumonia, and never recovered. Yet, the beat goes on.
