  1. Eloy's biggest impact on this team is the red batting gloves, which I find depressingly hilarious
  2. @ron883 sensing this thread
  3. Lower bar to clear makes it a lot easier!
  4. But for some reason, we have the #SaveTheParkingLots movement going on
  5. Probably cause the location isn't really great for people that enjoy going to concerts. What are they gonna do when the concert ends? Or are they expected to tailgate?
  6. This is Joely Rodriguez erasure. But also, without saying "signs with," this could imply a trade. I thought we traded Popeye.
  7. It's like how every soft-tossing, late-draft pick from an obscure college the White Sox take is the next Buehrle
  8. Yes, but it is also the same stupid logic. You ever see Mitch do this? I think if you take either at #1, take Williams. But if the Commanders offer a dump truck and the Bears grade the two of them the same (or if they grade Caleb at 90/100 and Maye at 89/100), take the bag and Maye.
  9. I think the Bears should avoid Caleb Williams due to Matt Leinart and Mark Sanchez
  10. DeJong just got put on notice.
  11. I should stressed that I meant hitting wise.
  12. If you told me that Adam Hackenberg or Carlos Perez had the best spring training of all the catchers, I would not bat an eye.
  13. JUST WAIT TILL LONZO IS HEALTHY
  14. It checks so many boxes. Good location Skyline Pinwheels are still there (I personally would prefer that they have staggered heights, but it's most important that they are there) Tiered bleachers look cool Exterior plaza. Jerry could put so many statues here.
  15. They did this because they didn't want a photo of Lane Ramsey standing next to Fletcher
  16. My Cubs fan friend that loves to regularly rag on the Sox says the design is worse than GRF, so I take that as an endorsement
  17. My dad said that they reminded him of old Comiskey.
  18. I went to the Top 30 to try and pick a joke name, but the realized that if everything clicks, Wolkow could have a shot. Like, giant lefty ace > giant lefty slugger most of the time, but if anything closes the gap, that's it.
  19. I know what you were going for, but you meant descendants man
  20. I know this is a typo, but I'm imagining 19th Century Reinsdorf looking down and being like "good job Jerry, good job."
  21. I don't know if it's possible, but getting the following to happen would be wild: Sox build South Loop Stadium Bears shift from Arlington Heights to lakefront, which Crain's just did a report on Spaceship is removed by Soldier Field, converted to public parks/athletic fields (suggested in Crain's) Fire move to the converted GRF, some parking lots converted to housing That'd be such a crazy, positive turn of events from the Arlington Heights + Nashville narrative
  22. Man, if I'm picking anyone from the current crop, it's Eloy. But even then, McGuffey is clearly forgetting how HORRID it was for a while. Doesn't he technically work with Gordon Beckham?
  23. Abreu, Cease, Gio, and — about to make people big mad — TA. The judgment period is from 2020 to 2023, and until Hanser Alberto's horrendous fielding led to TA's knee getting punched, TA playing correlated with wins (thank you @South Side Hit Men for that data), he was an 2x All-Star (and starter) + the peak moment of this all is the Field of Dreams game. Can also sub TA for Hendriks and I wouldn't be mad.
  24. Too bad that doesn't absolve him from sucking ass.
