I've already settled on him being a bust. This means NOTHING.
  2. A reminder that wishing death on people can get Soxtalk in trouble, so please don't do it.

Most def. Man needs innings badly to have any timeline.

Most of the big time analysts seen to think he will.

If they revamp the front office, Mike Shirley deserves to stay on Colson Montgomery alone. He has a 178 wrC+. Absolutely absurd.

The hypothetical org rotation chart next year can actually be...fun and have depth. To build off of @Chicago White Sox's outline - adding in the new acquisitions AAA: Crochet* Nastrini Eder* Martin Bush* Burke Thompson AA: Mena Cannon Pallette Kelley Simas Adams Murphy High A: Schultz* Taylor McDougal Schweitzer* Carela Vera Low A: Keener Gordan* LaCombe Oppor* Arias* I moved some guys around, and this is obviously more of a depth chart than rotation chart, but the fact that there is depth — considering so many guys need to build innings (Crochet, Vera, Rogers, Schultz, Pallette, etc.), Kelley has his weird thing, and Chicago's rotation will be Dylan Cease and the Wailing Sirens — is very nice.
  7. Hopefully Burger inspires the resurrection of the home run statue.
  8. Apparently, this is the trade that upset my mom the most because she loved Keynan Middleton.
  9. We're still doing these, right?
  10. I'll give you third and first, but until I see Eloy play CF, I'm not agreeing on Burger at 2nd.
  11. C+ for now. Good returns, but questioning holding onto Cease (and Bummer) in this climate if Jerry isn't spending this offseason. If Jerry actually breaks the trend and opens up the pocketbook, this becomes an B- deadline because a lot of pitching and catching depth got shored up. Not upset about Eloy, Moncada or TA remaining, since they'd be selling for absolute pennies on the dollar and TA/Moncada are likely gone after next year with Montgomery, Ramos, Gonzalez, Popeye and Sosa in the pipeline.
  12. It was either him or Eloy, man.
  13. For anyone wondering if this happens outside of Chapman, which is everyone's favorite example, it happens pretty frequently! Smart move would be to try and get Giolito while other teams are going for Ohtani, since that remains a pipe dream.
  14. The Padres are the expensive, NL-White Sox. Through Tatis, they are a dyad in the baseball-force.
  15. Yo, what the f*** was this game?
  16. Fingers crossed, because he's very easy to root for.
  17. I thought Zaleski had a good record as a pitching coach before he got to Charlotte, which is understandable since it's a bandbox where Rick Hahn dumps AAAA arms. But he just skipped AA as a pitching coach. I remember him briefly helping Hansen fix himself before he imploded again. I wonder if he should be in Bham with actual prospects and not fodder?
  18. This sounds like planning and foresight. We don't do that round here.
  19. Back to trade rumors. I demand more trade rumors.
