Maybe the owners should just get into the real-estate and TV business — since they get so much revenue from it — and forget the players. For example, I'm sure the Steinbrenners would have amazing net worth without Yankees players. Think of how valuable the YES Network and Yankees Stadium are!

Innings catching up with him from a funky 2020 shortened season.

Man's killing his chances with tons of teams at this rate.

so...buy madrigal stonks?

Leury Garcia is the best friend of all mankind.
-
Leury Garcia may end up being one of the longest tenured White Sox ever and that alone is a hysterical thought to me.

I mean, you and I both know that's not the case, simply because you said there's no baseball until 2023. But also because Liam Hendriks is the reliever of the year and even after TLR said they'd sharing closing duties, they didn't.

AL is gonna be a bloodbath. C'mon guys. Do somethin'

What I've learned from this thread: The core actually sucks if you look at small sample sizes, but only the bad small sample sizes, not the good small sample sizes. However, we should not trade the core to the Oakland A's or they'll all become Marcus Semien and we'll want to sign them to big deals years from now. Except some of us won't, because small sample size says they only have two good seasons. Michael Kenneth Harrelson is a large man. It won't matter what happens with Madrigal's career or what comes back in a Kimbrel trade, we're going to hear about this until the end of time. This offseason will only be a success if the Sox sign Corey Seager as a 2-way player and trade Dallas Keuchel for Honus Wagner's great nephew.

This is a bad take.

Despite how heated it can get on this board at times, I love all you weirdos.

Give Theo Epstein some respect.
-
Ok this one I legitimately forgot and was 100% brutal and awful.

I'm just trying to talk about veteran pitchers signed here for decent chunks of change. I don't remember the going rate back then for relievers, but wasn't that a decent amount? Also, I know Dotel wasn't nails, he wasn't utter trash. FWIW: I'm not trying to add onto Parkman's argument because Jack's argument, because its a weak sauce argument.

How the fuck are we just glossing over David Robertson? Or hell, even Jesse Crain?

So, Longoria?

Sox signing relievers who beat them in the playoffs. Name a more iconic duo.

I love when people pair established 1900 with 12 playoff appearances, because we haven't had the modern system for most of the game's history. Note, these are just from 1968 and backward: Expand it to 2nd place and they are at 20 playoff appearances. Expand it to 3 playoff teams and its 32 playoff appearances. Expand it to 4 and its 44 appearances. The Reinsdorf futility is legitimate. Comiskey's penny pinching is a fair gripe. But getting mad about the 1920, 1954, 1964, teams is an empty exercise if you're trying to count playoff appearances.

Ok, cool. They'll trade him like previous face of the franchise Evan Longoria. Or Blake Snell. They're the Rays. As for the league, hoo boy. Man had a great rookie year, but we've seen people crash and burn.

No way he stays with Tampa for this whole contract.
-
I guess if you wanna go fucking wild and try and convince someone to move to second, Seager.

I mean, Conforto is career .873 vs righties, so does that qualify as savage?
