Note, these are just from 1968 and backward: Expand it to 2nd place and they are at 20 playoff appearances. Expand it to 3 playoff teams and its 32 playoff appearances. Expand it to 4 and its 44 appearances. The Reinsdorf futility is legitimate. Comiskey's penny pinching is a fair gripe.
