Being a fan of the Hawks for a good part of just over a decade now, and going thru all of the bad times, seeing the team rated as the worst sports franchise in the world a few years ago, and to see where they are at now has been fantastic to watch and be a part of. Niemi's shown that he'll be the #1 guy here for a few seasons at least, and hopefully we can lock him up to an affordable contract for the long - term, and somehow get rid of Huet's deal.

Not sure if anyone else watched the Giro de Italia stage today, but there was a great battle b/w Ivan Basso and Cadel Evans in a stage with quite a few climbs, including one at the end which went for about 8 miles with some gradients above 20%. Basso ended up winning by about a minute.

He's been hanging out with Scott Hall too much.

I think if you're Otis Smith also, you've got to look at moving VC in the off-season. It just hasn't worked out for both sides, and VC just isn't a player you can rely on in the post-season. If Philly want to move Iggy since they are drafting Turner, I'd offer them VC's expiring deal and see if something happens there.

SVG's one of the top 3 or 5 coaches in the NBA today, no way we fire him. This is all on the players. Namely Rashard Lewis who's been absolutely terrible and we're stuck with his contract. Matt Barnes hasn't given a yelp, and offensively we are just an absolute mess. But you just have to give credit to the Celtics, they are in the Magic players' heads right now and they're playing very efficient basketball, getting great ball movement on offense and playing superb defensively. I think they'll end up beating the Lakers simply because of the Rondo - Fisher matchup.

BTW, this year's Tour de France I think is argubly the most exciting tour we're going to have in quite a while. I count at least 7 if not more contenders to win the race, because of team switches etc. (Vinkourov, Cadel Evans, Alberto Contador, Lance Armstrong, Andy Schleck, Frank Schleck and Denis Menchov).

And only just over a month out from the Tour de France, and midway thru the 2nd biggest tour of the Year with the Giro de Italia, Landis has to come out with this crap. Cycling's done a very good job as basically picking up the pieces and moving on from this fiasco a few years back, and unfortunately Landis just has to get out in the media and inflate his ego again and again. There's no way he's going to win a battle against Lance Armstrong in the media or in the public's eyes.

The pitching should pick up, I have more faith in that happening (e.g Buehrle and Floyd getting it together) than I do of the offense getting it's mojo back, even though it should improve as we get into summer (which for some reason always seems to be a big issue for the White Sox hitters). I think Minny is just going to be too good this season though, and that's what most people probably thought going into the season.

Kewell will definitely play even if he's not 100% fit. He wasn't at the last World Cup either but he's by far our most dangerous striker.

I'm going to be moving to London from the 3rd of June it seems, will be staying out near Mile End and Tower Hamlets in the East End of London for a couple of weeks before I get my own place there. It's pretty close to where they are building the new Olympic Stadium for the 2012 games I think.
