I love this move. Like a lot of people I was disappointed by the lack of stolen bases last year, it seems like the Sox are looking to start being a team that manufactures runs as opposed to focusing solely on the home run. They also starting to focus more on contact as opposed to power. The team figures to be more exciting on the base paths. I really like this move by the Sox.

Kyle Kendrick would add competition for the #5 spot in the rotation, plus he has a high ground ball rate. And a position player would be either Aoki or Ichiro as a fourth outfielder. Both guys have great contact skills and are good on base guys and that's a welcome addition on any bench.

This has been a perfect offseason but I might have signed Andrew Miller over David Robertson because he fits that mold of being a traditional closer with the high velocity more than Roberston who tops out at 94.
