  1. If Robert hits FA, I have little doubt some team offers him more than 10M on a one year prove it deal. He would be stupid to lock himself into a multi year contract at that rate, let alone sticking with a toxic org that basically wants him gone.
  2. I tend to agree. Outside of Robert and Houser, I just don’t see the demand being very high.
  3. That’s what I figured but don’t pay super close attention. Kind of a bummer that high schoolers won’t get a taste of pro game action for a good while now.
  4. Are high school picks missing out on rookie ball live game reps this year now that the draft has been pushed back a month?
  5. Because to anyone outside of your male-centric perspective, using how girls throw to imply that someone is weak or lesser, is insulting to anyone who isn't male. It is antiquated, derogatory, and frankly, offensive as f***. I would wager that any girl in high school or college softball can throw better than the majority of non athletes, so the analogy in your insult even lacks merit to begin with. You also claim to detest conformity, but here you are being upset that a message board won't conform to your antiquated notions of what is acceptable speech, over a sexist insult that is no longer in common usage. Do you not recognize the disconnect here?
  6. It's not Stone hate. He was once really great at the job, and his knowledge of pitching is still unmatched, but now he comes across as old and bitter more often than not. Just look to his Twitter feed to get a sense of the general contempt and disdain he has for anyone that isn't in lock step with the org. The game passed by even Hawk, and Stone is getting to that point too.
  7. Schriffen is such a bootlicker that I doubt he's going anywhere unless is its by choice. The org doesn't care about quailty as long as you kiss the ring. As for Stone, it is really time to call it a career, though I'm sure he as a job for as long as he wants. They are a miserable pairing, but it doesn't matter much until the org is ready to move on from both of them.
  8. Don’t forget allowing the GM of his other team to run the greatest player of all time out of town a few years later. Orgs win championships you say? Seriously, get fucked Jerry.
  9. Bunch of savages in this town.
  10. I wouldn’t be surprised if they caught up to the Rockies after the deadline. We are in for an ugly second half.
  11. Meanwhile our only hope is that in 10 years JR isn’t running things any more.
  12. Three position players above A ball, and not a difference maker among them. Ooof.
  13. Chris Getz, begging the baseball universe for someone to take his overpay off his hands…
  14. Let’s see, Rodon didn’t get his s%*# together until what, 2021? Meanwhile, Sale would have bounced the f*** out of Dodge after 2019 had he not been traded. Who knows If he has the same post TJ resurgence had he not been traded to ATL. Does Crochet even get the chance to start with those two around? Not that it really matters, as the Sox couldn’t put a competent team around a prime Sale and Quintana. Kiss the 2021 AL Central title goodbye as well. It would be Sale, Rodon, and a completely mid team chasing 3rd or 4th place. There really isn’t a ‘what could have been’ scenario here for those 3 …
  15. Being traded to the white sox is known to rapidly deplete one’s serotonin.
  16. Unlike your complete refusal to lay any blame at the disfunctional org? Yes, its all the players' fault. Forcing TLR on a young up & coming team had nothing to do with it...
  17. Drafting good people is great and all, but we need actual baseball tools that translate.
  18. More crime per capita around Wrigley than in Bridgeport.
  19. Refusing to acknowledge the ways the game has changed does not make it reality.
  20. You see, a lack of reporting means it never happened... and therefore I get to exist in my olden days bubble that doesn't allow any new information to enter...
  21. No doubt he has taken the prospected hugging to the extreme, and has failed to this point in finding the right balance between youth and veterans to reach sustained success. He did a lot right to get to that point though, which is more than we can say about Getz.
  22. Yeah, it wouldn't take $20M to accomplish, but my starting point would be paying whatever it took to make the Sox FO/operations the best around. I probably then bank the remaining cash until adding pricy FA make more sense. I just feel 2026 would be too soon with where the farm system currently is.
  23. Mike Elias on a bad day runs circles around Getz & Co.
  24. A simple question mark in the title would go a long way.
