  1. Beni still has 2 years left. Woof.
  2. 5 in the top 100 is great and all, but the top prospect being #38 out of 100 isn't something I can get too excited about. The system desperately needs top end talent to go along with quality depth.
  3. Go Brewers Go Jays Go Phillies Go Mariners LCS’s w/o LAD, NYY, Red Sox, or Cubs would be very welcome.
  4. Started 119 of 121 games at C, 38 at DH. Easily the single best season by a Catcher ever.
  5. Jerry killed a generation or two of Sox fandom, that’s for sure.
  6. What kid watches free tv anyways? There are far more ways to consume a product than what kids had when the Cubs were broadcast OTA on WGN.
  7. *She https://www.chicago.gov/city/en/about/wards/03/alderman_dowell_sbiography.html
  8. The talent that played at a 67 win pace for the second half of the season? All of that talent? A quarter of whom were in the org before Getz took over? And they refused play to over all of the duds Getz did bring in? Please tell me your post isn’t serious…
  9. What about 40 win seasons?
  10. Lots of delusional people believe in themselves too…
  11. Essential oil peddler feels more apt.
  12. Sadly, dude isn’t gonna fire himself…
  13. This is where I am too. Some of these kids look like they belong, but is that and or will that be sustainable? And does that translate to winning more games than they lose? Big fat TBD. 2025 was not devoid of positives, but on the whole they still lost 102, which earns an F. Even with some kids showing promise in the 2nd half, they weren’t playing >.500 baseball. They have a long way to go, and they are still being run by an incompetent boob working for one of the worst owners in the sport. Good luck getting over that hurdle.
  14. 102 losses isn’t a positive, and I don’t view a .419 winning percentage over a 70ish game sample as a positive either. Extrapolated over 162, we are talking about a 67 win pace. 67-95 isn’t significant progress, and we already know there won’t be major outside additions, and hopes for improvement will have to come internally. Unless a few of these guys turn into superstars, which doesn’t seem likely, we are looking at a 70 win core at best. You might be content with that, but don’t be surprised if others don’t share that view.
  15. No one should view that 60 win mark as progress. Getz’ 2nd full year was a game worse than the team he took over. 2025 on its own gets many GM’s fired. 102 losses is really bad.
  16. 220+ losses before the end of his second full season. Bravo Chris, bravo.
  17. Why waste one year when you can waste three!
  18. Manoah was a mess before TJ, but totally worth a shot.
  19. 100 is all but guaranteed. Do they even win two more to crack 60 wins?
  20. Neither do most teams who employ highly talented people who get national broadcasting opportunities.
  21. The Red and Green line stations before and after games would like a word with you. You obviously dont take transit to games so you haven't a clue, but plenty do.
  22. Yup. Lost me at baseline competence.
  23. Not without realigning Cortland, and even then it would be an awkard fit for the lot and the location. I imagine the Cubs would not be happy and would lobby alderman to nix the plan. A Fire stadium maybe, but certainly not for the Sox.
