  1. Forget the Guardians. The Indians are w/o their manager and were sellers not buyers at the deadline. We should be focused on the Astros as Boston/ Tampa will get beat up by Yankees, Jays and each other.
  2. It was made by the Chairman. Maybe he flipped a coin or maybe he analyzed it for days.
  3. I am not sure how you came to the political bigot conclusion. Go back and look at the hiring and numerous posters objected because of his DUI record, especially as a repeat offender. I think TLR has done a very good job on the field and in the clubhouse this year as well as the past. But off the field he is a loser and is really lucky he has avoided serious charges.
  4. He only pitched an inning in last 7 days so give him some work.
  5. According to schedule he is listed for Friday vs Cubs.
  6. I know Keuchel is struggling but I don't think Robert will take his rotation spot next Friday.
  7. If Burger has value and is blocked from 3B and Vaughn is not a RF solution, maybe Burger for an OF is another option. Just me but Kimbrel may be better than Hendricks ( contract aside). I was very surprised and happy Boston didn't offer a better package for Kimbrel than the WS did.
  8. Good point. I know there were some medicals for Kimbrel to pass. Wonder if it was the same for Madrigal?
  9. FWIW--Kimbrel has more post season experience and success than Hendricks.
  10. Hahn will fleece the Cubs again. I think he has their number.
  11. Cle and Det have not gotten any better so far. Cle has actually gotten worse for this season unless they make a move tomorrow.
  12. As I posted last week, the AL East front runners will beat up on each other and make the race for best record us vs Astros.
  13. Well in fairness the lineup had Moncada and no one else who would have been penciled in as a starter to begin the season.
  14. Maybe Hahn is trying to add Benintendi to the fold. Could Burger and Benintendi be a match with some other pieces??
  15. Eloy was the hero but credit also goes to Leury for starting the rally when the offense seemed dead.
  16. Sorry, I am not giving up Robert ...................................
  17. A new poster, who contributes trash , should have his computer time restricted by his parents.
  18. I agree. Last night's broadcast seemed to indicate he would be back in LF. Not sure who their source was whether FO or coaching staff.
  19. Maybe it is me, but Vaughn has really been solid w the bat recently. I hate to see him move out of LF. When a young player is on a roll, don't upset their routine even if it is positional. Eloy can DH for a while to adjust to MLB pitching and I think AV at this point is at least equal( or plus) defensively to Eloy.
  20. Agree with your thought process. I would add that if TLR pulled Kopech his choices were Liam start the 8th or take a chance w Crochet but he has to face 3 batters. I would have gone w Liam starting 8th to avoid Kopech batting but it appears they didn't trust Crochet.
  21. Way too far away to make predictions. Rosters will be bolstered this week with trades and players will return from injuries like Robert, Eloy, Sale etc in the coming weeks. But players will also suffer season ending injuries over the next 2 months w/o the benefit of trades to replace them.
