His first 3 games were all in left.

A) I was focused on younger guys B) I forgot. But I think of him as a guy who will be up this year and therefore will be off the list soon. These 4 are the next top of the system.

Most important position players imho for the Sox are Bonemer, Carlson, Fauske, and Wolkow. Nice to see all of them doing stuff in the last couple of games.

Murphys stuff has looked good at times. His results have been horrific. Hoping for the best here.

Vargas is looking pretty solid over there so far. I was not a fan of the trade, but he’s become an average big league regular, which is a pretty good outcome.

Nice challenge. Terrible at bat by Meidroth. Expanded zone on a guy who doesn’t have his best stuff. That could have been a big inning.

Murray is a former Ray who is a good multi-position AAA guy with a little pop. Way better imho than guys like Amaya and Capra. Good depth with a chance to have a nice career as a back up/second division regular. Off to a good start in Charlotte.

I will say Smith’s first two starts lessen the regret for me. If Griffin is Bobby Witt, it’s a huge mistake, but less so if Hagen is Carlos Rodon.

I wonder if using Taylor as an opener has anything to do with winning. Sox don’t seem to care about that. I think it is a way of grooming him to go back to starting, which would be a good thing. It will hurt less if/when Berroa comes back.

Huh? Gavin Williams is a first rounder who throws really hard and has missed time with arm problems. You do have to spend some draft capital on pitching.
