I think Romero was HBP, right?
  2. I respect how you take a different approach than the herd. It really adds to the discussion. I am very hit tool forward, so of those listed I like Bell. Lackey has a huge upside, but his performance against velocity scares me. I think Burress has a real shot to be Wyatt Langford-lite, but as a short R/R dead pull hitting potential corner with considerable bust potential, I think he's rich for 1/1. I wish I liked Flora more. His K numbers in a mid-major conference are honestly confusing to me. I am not a Reese fan cuz of defensive questions. But I agree, they could all be solid pros.
  3. I don’t think trading Peoples is a big deal. He’s likely behind Davis, Gonzalez, Iriarte, and Pallette in the pecking order anyway. Why they wanted Hartl is beyond me.
  4. But that makes him unavailable for days. I would imagine it is him.
  5. Fair enough. For me Fauske > Carlson. I like the profile better. His hit tool looks better, plus, if they draft Roch, Carlson already redundant somewhat. Different strokes. But I likely wouldn’t trade either of them or Bonemer. Especially for a rental in a year that the Sox are very unlikely to make the WS.
  6. You said you were willing to trade Fauske to get basically anyone and then also added Gonzalez. Maybe I misinterpreted. Is there anyone you would make untouchable?
  7. So you're going all in on this year, burning any and all future assets to compete this year? Fair enough. I would not be that aggressive in the first year of a competitive window, but I respect the passion.
  8. Who are you willing to trade him to get? I could understand a younger guy with control like Detmers. You willing to trade him for a rental? For Chapman? For the very highly-paid Sonny Gray? For Michael Wacha?
  9. Personally, I would not trade Fauske. If he could be Grady Sizemore (a guy who was in fact traded as a prospect), you're going to regret it for a decade. Boughton, sure. Any and all of the older college guys including pitchers, absolutely. But you start trading your overslot guys like Fauske and Bonemer, you are eating the seed corn.

  11. Good for him. He seems like such a good dude.
  12. Looks like Cags has figured it out. That draft class is looking pretty awesome.

    Okay start for Schultz 4.2IP 3H 2R 2ER 2bb 7K HR.
  14. Can never be a blowout, can it?
  15. Yes, but not the Royals. They have owned us.
  16. Eh. He’s got 7 HR this year. He has not been what they were hoping imho
  17. There’s risk everywhere. I think you have to factor in a significant right-handed hitter penalty in mlb right now. Lefties are over performing righties by a good margin right now thanks to platoon advantage and abs. I think Lackey and Roch have a greater risk of busting offensively because of it. Look at Dylan Crews and to some extent Wyatt Langford. When in doubt, draft the lefty.
  18. Right now, it is so hard to be a good righthanded hitter in mlb. So I feel for Chase. Eventually, he may be a weak side platoon bat with Antonacci?

Gabe Davis with a rough outing for Birmingham. It is possible, the Sox were too aggressive with the core of 5hat W-S team.
  20. I wouldn’t go that far. Even Will Venable thought Baldwin was poised for a big year before he got hurt. Kid can hit.
  21. If feels like 90% of Sox players can man 2b including Antonacci, Baldwin, Nishida, Gonzalez, Bergolla, and probably Roch Cholowsky. So that isn’t an issue. But Meidroth has been pretty good for them. This is just one bad game.
  22. Meidroth cost them that game. One sac fly in the million times he came up with RISP would have made the difference
  23. Colson has 3 balls over a hundred in this game. I’m not sure the Guards have 1.
  24. No. 1.79 WHIP in AAA. No idea why he is here.
  25. I will grant you that, but this guy is lucky to get a 50% strike rate. That's not something you can live with. There are other pitchers in the Sox system.
