Quero in the line up against Misiorowski, a guy with the best stuff in MiLB. Good test for his first game.
-
Peyton Pallette looks pretty good so far. Velo seems to be up a bit. He did give up a hard hit double after a bloop, but Kanny threw the runner out at the plate. 3K in 2IP so far.
-
Colson double, Veras single (picked off), Elko walk, DJ single 3-2 W-S.
-
Michael Turner (a personal fav) HR. W-S up 2-1.
-
DJ Gladney HR. W-S tied 1-1.

Cronin might pitch tonight. Sox down to a 10 man staff. Playing 3 guys short right now, 4 if you count Vaughn being hurt.
-
Are you referring to Matt Thompson? Cuz you may want to look at the progress he has made in AA this year. Guy is not a bust. May or may not be a starter eventually, but he is not irrelevant in a pitching-starved org.
-
Good stuff, doesn't know where it's going. Perfect righty compliment for Bummer. I actually love using the last two months to try and find cheap controllable bullpen arms. Sure beats signing them as free agents. Is Santos the closer now?
-
Happy to see those guys get the AAA call up. I think that Hackenberg is a possible MLB player. The arm definitely plays. If he hits at all, he could make a nice career for himself, if only as a back up. Carlos Perez's days in the org seem numbered.

Interesting. His MLB.com write up sounds non-too-promising and his numbers indicate that he has little to no offensive approach. But you always need catchers.

Before we congratulate the Sox too much on these deals for recent college pitchers Bush and Nastrini, I would like to point out that in the 2021 draft the Dodgers got Nastrini in the 4th round (bonus $500,000) and Ed Sheehan (who's in the majors) in the 6th round (bonus $244,500) which combine to be less than the Sox paid their top college pitching target Sean Burke in the third round ($900,000 bonus). Burke can't get the ball over the plate when he's healthy, and he hasn't been healthy. It's either scouting or pitching development or both, but the inability of the Sox to turn ANYONE they draft into an actual asset is why they suck.

I assume Trayce is to even out some money for Lynn's buyout? No way the Sox actually "want" him. Is he gonna keep them from losing 105 games? Doubt it. Like the return, though. Dodgers have like 8 legit guys AA or above. They absolutely needed to get 1 of them. Now, how much is he going to regress under the Sox piss-poor pitching development?
-
Sadly, I think Walsh has serious health problems and no one can diagnose what it is. I believe that he'll stay with the Angels AAA team to collect the $900,000 he is owed.

Noted prospect Brian Shaw about to blow the game for Charlotte. 3 hits and 2bb in a third of an inning. How bad do the Sox have to be that they've called him up twice?
-
Another horrible outing for Cannon. It's early in his AA career, but this is not a good sign. W-S battled back after a rough start but fell 6-5. 2bb 2K for Colson. Scrappy Kanny leading 8-4. McDougal was strong pitched 4 innings gave up 2 runs, 5k. Second to last guy he faced hit a 2-run HR. It's possible he's their 2nd best pitching prospect, which is, well, frightening. Brooks Baldwin 3-4 HR. No recent draftees in ACL line up, so I assume they're headed to Kanny?
-
Schweitzer is getting hammered. Two homers in the 1st. He has not pitched well since ascending to A+. W-S trails 3-0.
-
3 of them have played two games in the ACL (Gonzalez, Harris, and Park).
-
Big day for DSL. Currently leading 11-6. They've gotten 11bb.
