Dodgers have completely overhauled Lynn pitch mix
Yeah, the Sox pitching hasn't been great even before they traded half the staff, but if they get rid of the pitching coaches, they should fire the hitting coaches into the sun.

8/9 Games
Early start for Charlotte, both Lee and Hackenberg are in the line up. That means Sox are playing tonight's game with 1 healthy catcher. This team loves playing shorthanded. Maybe it helps build culture.

Sox vs Yanks, Game 2, 7:10 PM
I think Sox hitters are pretty bad and on evenings there's a big strike zone, they are even worse.

BA Updated Top 30 List
I have watched a fair amount of the Barons. From my looks, I got Ramos > Quero. I like Quero, he looks like a for sure catcher, which is valuable, but Ramos is good at 3b and his impact is way more than Quero offensively. He consistently hits the ball hard. Not that it matters much. There's a top 2, then the Sox have a ton of players in a similar tier and where you decide to rank guys in that tier involves a lot of coin flips. So far, not a fan of Gonzalez. Sox are in the process of changing his swing, which, if you're going to do that, why pick an offense first player at 15? Right now, he is trying to inside out EVERYTHING. With that approach, it's almost impossible for him to hit anything hard. In college, he used to turn and burn on anything inner half. That made him vulnerable away, but at least there was a chance for impact. Hopefully, this is a transitional state and once his mechanics get comfortable, he'll pull more pitches.

Wolkow has played cf. He's faster than he looks.

Ump wanted to go home on that last strike call.

Sox vs Yanks, Game 2, 7:10 PM
With all the 27 year old+ castoffs on this team and at AAA, the Sox are beginning to feel like Luis Robert Jr on an expansion team.

Nope. DVS says, "day today."

8/8 Games
2025 will there be more White Sox or Barons in the Sox line up? Vaughn and Robert probably locks, but Andrus, Remillard, Sheets, and Grandal no chance. Montgomery, Ramos, Quero with good chances. Popeye would have a shot. Tatum and Elko longer odds. Mena also has a shot, but so does Touki.

8/8 Games
Love watching Colson at ss. Started a super smooth DP. Barons are suddenly running out a good team offensively and defensively.

8/8 Games
Quero just missed a Grand Slam. 2 run double.

8/8 Games
He's been hurt A LOT this year. I don't care about AAA for him, but I won't be surprised if he's in the AFL with Colson.

8/8 Games
Barons line up suddenly looks super dangerous. Elko rbi single in first AA at abt.

Gonzalez 1-1, bb and bloop hit. Harris crushed a 2 rbi double. Kanny up 2-0

Sox Acquire Tyler Naquin
This org is weird. I assume Naquin is a minor league FA at the end of the year. Just add him to the Haseley, Frazier, Reyes pile. Pedro is a moron. If you are not going to do player dev in a 100 loss season, when are you doing it?

Sox, Yanks, no Peacocks. 7:10 PM
I was at the game as well. Lots of Yankee fans. Nice to see them shut up.

Mark DeRosa for Manager
Changing managers is just rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic. Need a new FO.

Keynan Middleton rips White Sox 'no rules' culture
I think the problem starts at the top with JR, KW, and RH but also reaches deep into the Sox development philosophy. I watch a fair number of MiLB games. Recently, the Sox A ball teams were playing the Rays A ball teams, and the difference was stark. The Rays play to win the game, that means situational baseball, bunting when necessary, pitching changes to get match ups etc. Curt Bloom says the Sox have a philosophy to never bunt in the minors. They leave pitchers in to face bad situations to get their work in, no one hits situationally. Everybody is taking their personal ab to get numbers to get to the next level. At best, the Sox approach every game like Spring Training. At worst, it looks like a try out camp. So, is it any wonder that when they get to the majors, the guys are all selfish, caring only about their own numbers, their own at bats? They have got to bulldoze the hole thing from the bottom up.

Keynan Middleton rips White Sox 'no rules' culture
Middleton implied that the lack of rules predated Grifol. Hence, fire everyone.

8/6 Games
Harris 2-2, Gonzalez 0-2. I understand it’s small sample size, but he hasn’t shown much yet. I was skeptical of this pick to begin with. Let’s say I am getting concerned.

8/6 Games
Carela might be an interesting sleeper. Strike thrower with a decent breaking ball. Sox always overestimate hard throwing guys and undervalue strike throwers with only decent stuff (see Dunning, Dane). At the very least getting depth for Middleton before FA is not a bad thing.

Sox, Tribe, Peacock at High Noon Sunday, EDT.
Yes, 1 down 25 to go building this roster.

Five ex-White Sox starters are starting pitchers today on Sunday, August 6.
It will be interesting to see what Keuchel has left. His game always had an extremely narrow margin of error, so figuring one thing out might have a huge impact or he may still be a gas can. As a human, I hope things go well for him.

Sox trade INTL $ to LAD for two RHPs
I hate this team.

Fire Rick Hahn
Man, I wonder how many analysts you could pay with all the dead money they have from bad mid-tier FA signings like Keuchel, Grandal, Leury etc. Pennywise, pound foolish.
