  1. The Hawks might suck, but they still do a great game presentation. The Chelios ceremony has been great.
  2. You insulted “most” of the people here. I insulted you. I’d say your statement was worse. But my all means, hide behind your feelings getting hurt than actually addressing the failures of the White Sox and this franchise that “deserves the benefit of the doubt”
  3. And if we’re only going off of actual results, which is what you seem to be basing your entire argument around…the clubhouse was a disaster last year, they were fundamentally flawed and there was nearly zero player improvement, the team regressed in almost every way. And you have the balls to call Sox fans “impatient?” They haven’t won a playoff series in 18 years. They play in BY FAR the largest market in the AL Central, yet are the only team in the division that hasn’t won a playoff series in that long. And Sox fans are impatient? Respectfully, get fucked.
  4. He’s 28, won an MVP and put up a 4.4 bWAR last year. He’s also had two historically bad years at the plate. He comes with risk, as does any player. But as a fan, I’d much rather have my team sign a contract like this than an 7-8 year deal at an 25 million AAV with no opt outs. If he flames out, you have to pay him for two more years. If he’s great, the Cubs have every opportunity to bring him back, possibly during the season. The Cubs wanted Bellinger back. They did that, and removed a lot of risk from a long term deal
  5. He absolutely is, it seems like he's the closest thing to a sure thing in the last decade, but I keep doing back to what we saw in the playoffs. Patrick Mahomes won the SB with quite frankly a very bad offensive unit around him. Now Mahomes is probably going to go down as the GOAT (Thanks again Pace) but Green Bay, Houston...their WR Rooms are nothing to write home about, but the QB's made them way better. Get the QB.
  6. Man, Arraez, Anderson and Burger as 3/4 of your INF is going to be ROUGH on that pitching staff
  7. I mean objectively this isn't true. Tropicana and the Oakland Coliseum are terrible places.
  8. I'm a professional troll hunter. Sorry, it's my job.
  9. I'm now fully on board with the Sox moving to this site, solely to see you cry about it when it happens.
  10. Fanatics is just a terrible, terrible company. I bought a pair of Sox "lounge/PJ" pants from them like 5 years ago, color and font were totally different than the picture on their site, quality was awful. Can't wait to see how they ruin NHL jerseys next year
  11. That's just the social team protecting themselves from uncertainty.
  12. Honestly the renderings didn't blow me away. Location is very cool and love the backdrop, but the stadium itself is very vanilla, lacks any sort of personality.
  13. He'll be traded the day the Sox announce their brand new stadium that everyone will be overjoyed about in the South Loop. Happy?
  14. Rumors that were shot down by Caleb's camp? Those rumors?
  15. Shocked Ben Johnson is staying in Detroit, did not see that coming
  16. I would def. be rooting for Buffalo if they were in it, I really like Allen. I was also rooting for Detroit, but wasn't "sad" to see them bounced as obviously my interest is in the Bears and having the Packers and Lions on the rise is more than annoying, but I digress.
  17. So do I. But "f*** them" because they are better than everyone else, in the league with a salary cap, is about the biggest meatball take I can think up. f*** the Bears. I wish my team had anywhere NEAR the success the Chiefs have had
  18. Not sure I get the hate for the Chiefs. Not caught up in any scandals, and their run is reaching Patriot-type levels in terms of playoff success. I saw Kelce's playoff stats today: 21 games, 156 receptions for 1,810 yards and 19 TD's. Incredible. Unless it's a situation like the Astro's, I have a hard time rooting against historic greatness.
  19. I don’t know, I don’t really have a huge problem with the situation. He called the defense fairly well after Williams left (which Flus owns that whole situation by the way, not absolving him of that) and there are a bunch of situations around the NFL where a defensive-minded HC has the OC call the offense. Flus seems to have the locker room very firmly planted on his side, and a large part of being a HC in football is leading the room. He needs to figure out how to get these guys ready to START a season and I can’t stand listening to him during press conferences, but if he’s controlling the locker room and he calls a good defense, they could do worse (they could also have done better, but of course won’t spend the money)
  20. I'm still not convinced you need an MHJ. There are 4 teams left in the playoffs. Let's look at the WR room: Chiefs: Rasheed Rice (2nd rounder) Mecole Hardman, MVS, Kadarius Toney Ravens: Zay Flowers (22nd overall) Rashod Bateman, OBJ (at 31 years old, not prime OBJ) 49ers: Deebo (Basically a RB), Aiyuk, Jauan Jennings Lions: Amon-St Brown (4th rounder), Jameson Williams (high first rounder but hasn't produced), Josh Reynolds Now, that's not taking in to account a few really good TE's on those roster, but it speaks to the point of not needing a "franchise" WR, especially when you have a 26 year old DJ Moore already on the roster. While a WR can certainly make a QB look better, a QB can make mediocre WR look A LOT better on a much more consistent basis. See Green Bay.
  21. Kind of seems like the players are making the call here. Have to think giannis and dame were sort of leading the charge in getting Adrian fired, and they probably made the call that they wanted Doc.
