  1. All of this is correct. But like the Claypool, or even Velus move (which I will agree already seems like a bad one) I'm in no way ready to say not signing Roquan to a huge deal was the wrong move, or even that Claypool won't end up being a decent trade. Time will tell. And it's perfectly acceptable not to be sold on Pace/Eberflus, should anyone? There hasn't been a big enough sample size to tell. However, not every GM in his first year would have been comfortable completely ripping apart the roster, bottoming out and intentionally have a 3-13 record tied to his name in his first year. Not every GM would be comfortable trading away the 1st overall pick, hitching his wagon to a QB he didn't draft, and executing an offseason plan. I think the direction he is taking the Bears is a good one, at this point in time.
  2. There has to be a reason Poles/FO showed basically zero interest in pursing Roquan with a new deal...
  3. Go get Jawaan Taylor, Ryan....
  4. I said a few months ago they should absolutely be competing for a playoff spot this season, and nothing has changed since then. Teams go worst to first every year in the NFL, the Bears should absolutely be that team this year. Those should be the expectations.
  5. Of course you won't provide any evidence, because you're full of s%*#. Amazing the attitude from a...*checks notes*...Dolphins fan lol This exchange is such a perfect encapsulation of society today. You spew bullshit, cling to an opinion that is clearly false, get provided evidence you’re wrong, you cling deeper to your beliefs, then when asked to provide any actual evidence for said beliefs, you run away. What a p****.
  6. Provided me one high profile name that reported Brady is "coming out of retirement to play for Miami." Show me an actual report from a "high profile name" Show me
  7. Because he's made up his mind, logic and facts be damned.
  8. 1. Think most would believe Jay Glazer over you 2. Taking that out of the equation, I think everyone would agree DJ Moore has more value than Chase Claypool did last year. If multiple teams offered a second round pick for Claypool, is it really that hard to believe Moore would hold the value of a first?
  9. He absolutely would. The Bears gave up a 2nd for Claypool, partly because the Packers were also offering a 2nd. DJ Moore could absolutely be traded for a 1st round pick this offseason. In a situation where the Bears don't have a need for a QB, they did very well in collecting assets that will help this team in the next 3-4 seasons, including next season. The first part is done. Now they need to hit on those picks.
  10. Just incredible content coming out of Arizona...?
  11. Your "argument" is all over the board. But if you are a fan of a specific team, you watch them 17 times during a season, and hopefully a few playoff games if you're lucky. Baseball has a season that is more than 9x(!!!) longer than an NFL season. Plus, I know I'm not alone in that the "game" itself of the NFL isn't just what people are watching for. Sports Betting and Fantasy make a huge difference, as does the creation of the Red Zone which has been one of the best developments in sports over the last decade. I love NFL Red Zone on Sunday. I usually watch that over the Bears, because I still am able to see the key plays from the Bears games on Red Zone. But going back to your original point....if the Bears played a 162 game schedule, the complaints about length of the game would be brought up. Having regular 4 hour games in 162 game schedule is a problem, and we both know MLB is taking away 40/50 games from the schedule anytime soon.
  12. Really? You really can't figure that out?
  13. I assume all the posters that got on Abreu also feel the same about Anderson, correct?
  14. Should just go with Big Cat's plan https://twitter.com/PardonMyTake/status/1632737176352899073
  15. 1. Username checks out. 2. This is how it’s supposed to happen. An investigation was held, I accept the results. I thought Clevenger was a dickhead well before the Sox signed him, and still hold that opinion. But there are plenty of guys that hold that title in sports and the world. Time for everyone to move on.
  16. So when the Rangers come back and say "No, and Patrick Kane has made it public his only desire is to play for us." What do the Hawks do? Keep him while they are actively trying to have the worst record in the league, and let him walk for nothing in the offseason?
  17. If there is only one team in the running for his services, what type of return was expected?
  18. It's a double-edged sword for sure. Kane sort of screwed them by sayin NYR was the only place he would go. However, this team isn't going anywhere (obviously) and I don't think they have much interest in bringing him back. There is also an argument to made to grant the request in this case of your franchise icon. It could get ugly if the Hawks said they simply aren't moving him and he wants to compete for a Cup. Lot of layers, not a "right" answer but the Hawks simply don't have much leverage in this at this point.
  19. Yeah, that's a solid deal and the Hawks using their cap space wisely. They are going to suck again next year so use the space to get more capital. I think Kane ends up staying
