  1. Tex, this is bad by you. The Sox had the bases loaded in the first and Grandal (.161 BA) ended up striking out with the bat still on his shoulder. Andrew Vaughn (.278 BA) never got a chance at the inning. That alone is unacceptable.
  2. Right, but at least Michael finally cut the cord and brought in AK and Donovan, which I think is going to lead to an impactful change (if it hasn't already) I just don't see the same happening with Jerry still at the helm...
  3. But here is the worst part and I don't know how you get past it as a fan (at least I don't know how...): Even if they "re-tooled" or even tried to "rebuild" again...why should we think for one second this FO would get it right this time? There is zero evidence to support they know what they are doing. So it's kind of like what's the point to all this? What are we doing if we know this FO, including ownership, is just stuck in this mode of constant mediocrity? That's why this season is so hard to stomach, for me at least. It really was the nail in the coffin for me that we just aren't going to get anywhere with the current structure in place. It's a 2000's Blackhawks situation...
  4. Not sure who is taking on "this" Moncada at 17 mil for 2023 and 24 mil in 2024....
  5. Yoan just wanted to get that AB over with, lol
  6. I think 2005 was enough for Jerry. It got him what he wanted. Every that comes after is just gravy. As others have mentioned, the only way TLR ever made sense was Jerry "righting that wrong" from years ago. He wanted to close that chapter and this was his chance...set him up with what looked to be a ready-made winning ballclub. And in a lot of ways it was. When TLR took this club over...the arrow had probably never been higher on this franchise. A season and a half later, it's a dumpster fire.
  7. They're all complicit in this. No one is forcing either to stay. If they hated it that much, and they're that talented of executives, they'll get another crack at running a ML team. But TLR has been here for over 200 games now...and they're still here so they are all in this together.
  8. What future?
  9. Seriously where the hell is Moncada? What are we doing here? Why activate him like 4 days ago only to have 1 pinch hit opportunity? If he isn't ready to play everyday, what are we doing here? I'm so sick of rooting for an organization that ties their own hands behind their back so often.
  10. I don’t even like Madrigal, but ever since they made the trade, they seemingly haven’t made a single move that has made any sense. It somehow has completely broke their brains and to your point, the moves and time wasted and opportunities lost have probably cost this organization a ton of W’s
  11. It really is shocking when you look back at what they did. And it’s not like we didn’t see it in real time and this is just being an arm chair QB. I’ve said all along they deserve credit for making the playoffs in back to back years and putting together what looked like a very solid core. I still think it’s a good core if they could ever stay healthy, but that doesn’t seem possible. However, the “additions” they made to this team we’re so incredibly bad, I just can’t fathom what conversations took place over the offseason for them to land on guys like Harrison, Kelly, Pollock, etc. And think that was enough…
  12. How do you suggest that takes place?
  13. I could have answered this for you before the AB
  14. Hello, my name is green line and this is my first time watching Major League Baseball.
  15. Just disgusting. Not even blaming TLR, it’s just shocking how bad this roster is on May 31
  16. What’s your point?
  17. Really doesn’t seem like a big concern at this point lol
  18. I called Cease! Knew it!
  19. Part of me wonders if they have instructed him not to make the big play, so what you can, don’t leave your feet, etc. His range is awful in LF, there is no doubt he’s a bad LF. I also don’t blame Vaughn for it.
  20. My father is a veteran and we've discussed this topic multiple times together. He doesn't feel the flag has anything to do with representing our military, but a representation of our entire country...all 50 states. Having said that, if the flag is a representation of the country as a whole, then it means it also represents Gabe Kapler's right to not stand for a national anthem, and LaRussa's choice to voice his displeasure with it. Both are free to do that, which isn't possible in other places in the world. And one of the reasons for that obviously is what our military has accomplished in battle. I personally happen to side with Kapler, as I've been to different parts of the world and seen firsthand that other cultures aren't currently scared to send their kids to school or believe they may be killed when going to the grocery store. You have every right to feel the way you do. It doesn't make you right, my father right, or myself right.
  21. These assholes are gonna make us watch more of this? Come on
  22. Worse, actually
