True. Konerko's 36 season was a good one. If it makes sense for the club I am all for it. Have another team offer an interesting deal for Vaughn and I would like the trade if they resign Abreu. If its "Jerry wants to sign Abreu because loyalty" then I will hate it.

Resigning Abreu just sounds like Konerko 2.0. If i remember correctly, didnt signing him for 2014 create a roster crunch that led to including Semien in the Samardzjia deal? Jaime see if you can pull that up id hate to give up on Vaughn and watch him become Semien 2.0. History does repeat itself.

I just went ahead and looked at the payroll for next season and it made me grab a glass of whiskey. We have 75 million dollars guaranteed to players over 32 years old for next season. I honestly feel lost as to where to even start, especially with missing out on the playoffs money. Grandal, Leury, Graveman, Moncada need to go. Yoan is going to cost this team an arm and a leg next season and beyond. It wont happen however

So many bad contracts i dont even know where to start. A wet dream would be to see the expensive deadweight like Leury gone, but its not going to happen especially after biting the bullet on Keuchel and missing out on playoff revenue.

It is pretty clear that the window is CLOSED. Cleveland pitching will always be dominant, we are seeing Cleveland young hitters starting to put together good OPS numbers with the more experience they are getting, one of the best bullpens in baseball. Their farm system is still ranked one of the best with an absurd number of top 100 prospects. Anyone think we will be relevant in 2 years? I am not feeling optimistic at all. Our farm is trash, our roster is old, crippling contracts all over, the FO is clueless and cant evaluate talent, injury prone players and no depth. It just feels like we are going to be .500 at best for the next 2-3 years until Hahn once again rebuilds. Yes it will be Hahn, because Jerry will outlive us all and thats how its going to be.

Sox medical staff and Hahn should be replaced based on this perplexing handling of Robert. Absolutely absurd.
