Sox @ Reds: Spring Training Opener (Cease)
Love that Cease gave up 0 walks, disappointed that Fulmer gave up 3 in an inning.

Aaron Bummer extended 5 years/16M (plus two options)
Welp, looks like a good deal at the moment. Hope this doesn't turn into a Nate Jones situation

TA is the best
I agree 100%. Its kind of awkward a a little cringeworthy when he keeps talking. Wish there was substance to it. Maybe he's trying to reach the younger crowd? I also wish he had a more team centered mindset.

Viewable Sox Spring Training Games
Literally the only place in the country that's getting any kind of precipitation is Arizona. Go figure.

Yeah...I thought the same thing. The most recent video has some good footage of spring training though.

TA is the best
He's got 4 videos up. Some real live footage of getting work in at spring training. It's pretty cool to see that. I recommend at least checking it out. Will be itneresting to see what kind of videos come up when the season starts.

Cubs 2020
I don't think the Crosstown Series will ever be "fun" until they stop these 2 game series right in the middle of the work week bullshit. They should play each other at least twice a year and they should both be 3 or 4 game weekend series in my opinion. The games would count a lot more and fans would be more into it. I wish it was more of a rivalry. So much potential especially with the Sox starting to become good. But because of the mere fact they barely play each other, there isn't much to look forward to. It's just dumb the way it's set up now. Huge marketing potential just being thrown to the wayside. Same thing with the rest of the schedule with how often they play divisional opponents and how little they play the rest of the league. Baseball would be so much more enjoyable to all fans, hardcore and casual, if they played more teams more often, especially teams like the Cubs.

Most Memorable Sox Game You've Attended?
2006 night game vs the Yankees. I was 12. With a friend and my dad. My friend and I got up to go get some hot dogs and Arod hit a homerun just a few seats next to where ours were, while we were getting hot dogs. We were so pissed lol. Konerko hit a game-tying solo shot in the 9th and I believe the Sox won in the 10th or 11th off a Jermaine Dye hit. I think Iguchi scored the winning run. Will never forget that one. That was a fun train ride back home.

Offseason 2019-2020 MLB Catch All Thread
This is already a season to forget for Houston. I have a feeling this drama will never fully go away surrounding them until the team rebuilds again and the players disperse. I have a feeling it's going to be hell for that team for at least a few more years.

******Regarding Puig......A Heartwarming Story
That's great that he did that. Definitely sheds a better light on who he is, and I now view him a little differently as a person. But I still wouldn't want him on the Sox. Would be too much of a distraction. This is a great story and all, but not sure it deserves its own thread? Maybe in the Yasiel Puig thread?

Mlb might be changing playoff format
I'll never understand why they never built a retractable roof on that new stadium when they built it back in 2015. Their first month of home games is like playing in the Winter.

KW says "no Puig"
I would not like him on the team because he would just be a huge distraction. Last thing this team needs.

So excited for the new season
And 22 ties. I don't think a manager can single-handedly lose 20 games. I just watched the 2005 World Series Film last night. Ozzie said "I don't believe in good managers. If you don't have good players, you won't win. If you don't have the right horses, it doesn't matter how good of a rider you are, you won't win the Kentucky Derby." Of course, I'm paraphrasing, because, well, Ozzie Guillen. While I don't agree 100% with Ozzie that there aren't good managers out there (because, why even have managers if they don't matter), I don't think Ricky can be 100% judged on his managerial skills until he has the right tools to be able to win. He hasn't gotten that chance yet. Just like no one can judge or grade this rebuild until it is completed and we see what kind of fruit it bares. Let's see how Renteria adjusts his managerial style to his players' strengths this year. It will definitely be a test, in my opinion, to see if he really is the right man to lead this rebuilding team to contention and eventually championshipS.

USA Today projections
I think everyone around baseball are increasingly seeing the Sox as a legitimate threat and a competitive team, but not necessarily a contending team quite yet. I like it, gives the boys some motivation to go out there and prove them all wrong and come out on top as the underdogs.
