  1. Eloy needs to lose the baby fat and get in better shape like Avi Garcia did. After Avi got injured he came back and proved he could be a decent outfielder.
  2. I was concerned that Eloy was carrying too much weight, was not in the best physical condition, and was susceptible to injury. Extra weight is what contributed to Avi Garcia's injury. Avi was able to come back and be a decent outfielder after surgery, losing weight and getting in better shape. Eloy has too much baby fat. Perhaps he can track what Avi G did and return as an outfielder in a lot better physical condition.
  3. Was that prior to the Eloy injury or was it today?
  4. OK, let's see a 40 yard dash with Collins, Yermin and Vaughn. My pick, Collins first, Yermin second, Vaughn third.
  5. Mercedes might beat Vaughn in a foot race. I'm not kidding.
  6. I was wrong about playing Eloy. He was dumber than I ever thought even though he was still my favorite player. This kills the Sox for this year and complicates the DH spot moving forward. For me, this just destroyed my excitement for this season . I have waited too see a powerful Sox line-up like we had on paper since the '77 season Fuck the World. This Sox and Eloy fan's heart is broken. Cub fans rejoice. Fuck them too.
  7. Come on Eloy. Play fly balls hit off the wall by staying back and playing the carom. Then hit the cut-off man with your throw. Let foul balls hit into the stands land there. So what, it is a strike on the batter. You are not Uribe in the 9th inning of game 4 of the 2005 WS. And you are not a baby whale getting caught in fisherman's net.
  8. Obviously Eloy needs to pull up on those balls and play them off the wall. That sounds easy but it has been hard for the big man to slow down once he gets going. If he can't play LF and has to replace Vaughn at DH, our lineup gets a lot less intimidating for opponents and exciting for fans.
  9. I think Eloy is the best hitter on the team and he is my favorite player. If he is out for an extended period or for the entire season with surgery, Fuck the world.
  10. I agree that Luis Robert should not be in the two spot. Too much swing and miss. I would prefer Tim leading off, Moncada second, Abreu third and Eloy batting clean-up.
  11. everyone please get vaccinated.
  12. Coop could have accomplished the same thing...almost nothing.
  13. Not even Katz could help him.
  14. We all saw Eloy make some bad plays where he went into the net on the foul line and also going back on balls hit over his head. Eloy has promised to improve his defense this year. Eloy has speed, is tall , has a decent reach, and has shown some athleticism. Left field is the spot for a player like Eloy that can hit for power but may not be a top defensive outfielder. He will be sufficient there for many years unless he gaains weight and loses his speed. Eloy is my favorite player on the White Sox. I love the guys positive attitude, his demeanor, and his clutch hitting. He is what Ernie Banks was to the Cubs in the 60's.
  15. Presumably Madrigal will provide plus defense and OBP and preserve most of the massive unbelievable $340 million 14-year contract that Tatis Jr. was given. Madrigal does not have to hit home runs, especially with the line-up we have. He just needs to play good defense and get on base.
  16. The very bad Matt Reynolds hit that oppo homerun, not Mendick. Another senior moment and I watched it.. Matt Reynolds second HR in the last few days.
  17. Mendick blasted an oppo home run yesterday in the ninth. He has looked good on defense as well. I think Mendick or Collins would be fine but I would take Mendick since he would provide depth on the INF beyond just Leury. Moncada and Madrigal are great. but I am not that confident in their durability to have only one back up INF on the 26 man.
  18. Kopech could choose to be an elite Closer and prolong his career. It doesn't seem like Kopech ever wanted to do that though. Maybe Kopech gets to start after the rotation turns around 3 or 4 times. Today it looked like he had quite a bit of gas left after a short inning. Maybe next time they let him pitch 2 innings and then go from there. Kopech has to be the best news from Spring Training so far. He's baa-ack and he looked every bit like a top of rotation starter.
  19. Stiever hung that curve to Maybin.
  20. OK I have it. I had to deny seeing the advertisements on the You Tube pop up window.
