Who is the most unlikely hero of the 2021 White Sox?
tray replied to VAfan's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Eloy is the type of hero that matters. https://twitter.com/whitesox/status/1427784038329245706?ref_src=twsrc^tfw|twcamp^tweetembed|twterm^1427784038329245706|twgr^|twcon^s1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.mlb.com%2Fnews%2Feloy-jimenez-finds-inspiration-in-young-boy-battling-cancer Look at the smile on the youngsters face as Eloy signs and gives him the bat. -
I said that I did not like trading Cody Heuer and Madrigal to the Cubs for another Closer and I have not changed my mind about that. There had to be other trades to get a set-up man that would not have ended up with Madrigal and Cody on the Cubs. Cesar Hernandez made the trade hurt less but I was a big fan of what Madrigal could do as a table setter for our powerful line-up.

This pitcher appears to have been rattled with the injury. He is throwing batting practice. Watch Tim take him out. -

That was horrific. Damn it. God damnit. -
" Jerry Narron isn't necessarily a spry chicken at 65 years old, young in Tony's orbit but a generation removed from A. J. Hinch and his peers. One of several areas the Sox would definitely improve on would be defensive shifting. Hinch's Tigers are 4th in baseball, Sox 27th from last" ========== There are challenges on plays that appear to be justified on broadcast replay that are then not upheld on review. I don't have time to look for a link because I have to work today but the reality is that close plays cannot always be determined by video replay. AJ Hinch in charge of a video system? LOL. He should have been banned from baseball for cheating and has no business managing a major league team now, none.

Yes, Vaughn hit a solo home run. Zavala hit a two run home run in the series... so what? This post is about runners left on base. Pooled ignorance on Soxtalk continues. Just attack a poster instead of responding to the thread.
-
Vaughn - 8 Left on Base in the two losses to the Yankees. Somebody other than Eloy, Abreu or TA has to get it done when it's crunch time.
-
Look at how many LOBs in the game yesterday and today....and which hitters had them.
-
edited to say.. Throw JFG a fastball ..LOL@!

Not even close

Vaughn, another incredible eye popping catch!

So how many times have YOU watched the replay of Anderson's walkoff
tray replied to lostfan's topic in Pale Hose Talk
TA stated that he got the pitch he was looking for. He sure did. Watching live on TV, the crack of the bat milliseconds before he dropped it foretold the result. I wonder what that sounded like for those in the stands. So I will watch it again, and listen again. Wish I was there but goin' tonight. They can have other games at that field, but they would lack the significance that this one had, and I doubt Kostner would want to do that again and I would not blame him. I am sure Cubs and their fans will run there for a game next year but it just won't be the same. Perhaps MLB could designate a week during the season where major league teams play games at Minor league stadiums like Charlotte where, in many cases, there are better facilities, ease of access, etc. -

IMHO....Sox should make those retro uniforms the Sunday uniform and drop the 1983 disco era uniform. The only thing I would change is that I would put that awesome Sox logo on the hat. -
Stop stalking my posts and criticizing me at every turn.

Hospitalized or fatal vaccine breakthrough cases reported to CDC as of August 2, 2021 - 7,525 Total number of fully vaccinated - as of August 2 - 164 Million 7,525 / 164,000,000 = .000045 chances of hospitalization and death among fully vaccinated. 74% of that number (5557) were over 65 years old. All statistics above from the CDC website on breakthrough cases: https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/covid-19/health-departments/breakthrough-cases.html No team needs a Covid outbreak or having to quarantine key players, especially a team in the play-off race like the Yankees. Anthony Rizzo was diagnosed with Covid (although he was not vaccinated) and is in quarantine. https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/31987292/anthony-rizzo-latest-new-york-yankees-player-test-positive-covid-1 "Rizzo tested positive after Saturday's game, in which he went 0-for-4 in the Yankees' 5-4 victory over Seattle Mariners. Rizzo joins catcher Gary Sanchez and starting pitchers Gerrit Cole and Jordan Montgomery as Yankees players to recently test positive for the virus. Cole tested positive Monday, Montgomery tested positive Tuesday and Sanchez was placed on the COVID-19 list Thursday. Boone said Cole, Montgomery and Sanchez are feeling better. The outbreak occurred after the Yankees returned from playing six games against the Tampa Bay Rays and Miami Marlins in Florida, where COVID-19 cases are surging. Rizzo made his debut with the Yankees on July 30 at Miami. "I think a lot came out of Florida where we were in this wave of them,'' Boone said. "It's a little of you don't know when and where it's spreading.'' At least 85% of New York's players are vaccinated, resulting in a loosening of restrictions, but the Yankees still have been hit hard and Boone said the team will hold conversations about being cautious on its upcoming six-game road trip."
