Old Comiskey will have been gone for like 40 years by the time they move to a new ballpark. No offense, but I don't think their main goal is going to be to recreate a ballpark to appeal to guys in their 60s-70s. Besides, the retro trend for ballparks began in 1992 and ended about a decade ago. I'm not saying that I don't think a lot of those parks that were built during that time period were cool, but there are a lot of design styles other than "Retro" or "Not Retro." Finally... I wouldn't put too much stock in what signage looks like on the initial renderings for a park that is years away.

This is the same group that thought the Corey Julks trade was the end of the world and a fireable offense because they gave away Luis Rodriguez. We are about a page and a half from you and SS2K doing the whole “Getz should have known Moncada, Robert, and Eloy would be hurt within the first month” back and forth I have read 5,000 times.

If reports came out that said the same about Chris Getz, I'd sure a $8.5 million dollar deal for Gary Sanchez would stop you from criticizing.

I think the distinction is he is saying its too early to say we lost the trade as if it were fact. To support that claim, he says he personally believes they won. If a reasonable person can argue they won the trade, its not a fact that the sox lost the trade.

I was talking about the Padres guy. Can play multiple positions and is good. I think he's hurt to start the season so probably will take a lesser deal to prove he's healthy.

Also, I think I saw someone mention race/whiteness being some factor in being called a leader. That's absurd. Maldanado, Abreu, Grandal, TA were all called "leaders" at some point in the last few years. This is baseball. There is a lot of dumb s%*# that people say. Anyone who is over 27 and goes to a bad team will be called a "leader" unless they have some notable behavior issues that are public. It's like if someone was upset because they kept acquiring guys who "give 110%" because it will lead to exhaustion and injury. Its all nonsense.

He would have had the best OPS+ on the team last year except for Moncada who played like 8 games. He'll be the new Tommy Pham. Just because someone is described as being a vet or having leadership qualities doesn't mean they are all Maldanado. Again, they suck and they will suck again next year. If Tauchman is in the top 10 things to complain about next year, something has gone right.

Yeah, the team sucks. I don't mind the signing.
