Is it just me or did they trade for Fletcher and sour on him almost immediately? Granted, he was bad... but still feels like he was in the doghouse from the jump.

You know there are a lot of potential outcomes in between Garrett Crochet-level breakout and failure. You act like Crochet's breakout was foreseeable. The thread announcing him as opening day starter a year ago was full of people criticizing the move and saying we had an opener starting game 1.

I think they made a decision to have that type of "analysis" as their brand. He goes on Bernstein/Holmes shows on 670 and its like "this is a smart fan's take" but he never says anything interesting or insightful. Its always the same old easy second guessing crap. I remember one time they were obsessing over some minor roster transaction like leaving Jake Peter off the 40 man roster before a rule 5 draft and that's when I decided to unfollow all of them. I also hate his voice. Jim isn't as bad. And Fegan is good... but I have no interest to subscribe to the patreon just for Fegan.

Old Comiskey will have been gone for like 40 years by the time they move to a new ballpark. No offense, but I don't think their main goal is going to be to recreate a ballpark to appeal to guys in their 60s-70s. Besides, the retro trend for ballparks began in 1992 and ended about a decade ago. I'm not saying that I don't think a lot of those parks that were built during that time period were cool, but there are a lot of design styles other than "Retro" or "Not Retro." Finally... I wouldn't put too much stock in what signage looks like on the initial renderings for a park that is years away.

Not sure why you engage with the same 5 posters for over a year over the same argument... No minds are being changed. They blame Getz everything. This is the same group that thought the Corey Julks trade was the end of the world and a fireable offense because they gave away Luis Rodriguez. We are about a page and a half from you and SS2K doing the whole “Getz should have known Moncada, Robert, and Eloy would be hurt within the first month” back and forth I have read 5,000 times.

Does this give us any more insight on a potential Robert return?

If reports came out that said the same about Chris Getz, I'd sure a $8.5 million dollar deal for Gary Sanchez would stop you from criticizing.
