  1. Best rap line ever: “Got my Chrome to the side of his White Sox hat.”
  2. I don’t see anything there that should strike fear in the hearts of the AL Central. Maybe it was a bad idea to let Abreu go. Imagine how different that list would be if Bryce Harper was on it. (“at least until Eloy gets hurt”, lol)
  3. Imagine being told in 2019 that Tony freaking LaRussa would be the manager in 2022.
  4. There was a guy on these pages that developed a spreadsheet to track the success of the rebuild trades. It was around 2017. I would love to find this spreadsheet and see what happened. It can’t be good.
  5. The other teams didn’t let the captain of the Titanic drive the rescue boats. Apples and oranges.
  6. Seriously how did Monday come and go, after and epic losing streak when they were supposed to contend, with some of the worst baseball ever seen for this franchise known for baseball stupidity and not one person has lost a job. I thought somebody would have been canned on Monday.
  7. Ahhh, yes ESPN certainly does suck independent of this grade.
  8. What should a team playing .250 be graded?
  9. Not with this pitching staff. Outside of 2017 I don’t ever recall a worse Sox starting staff in my 40 years of following the team.
  10. This is a better question … At this point I’m neutral or slightly pulling for the opponent. This management needs to be humiliated, just like Lawrence Holmes talked about in his rant last year. It doesn’t help that none of the guys on this team are likable, except maybe for Burger. I see Roberts jogging down the first base line and find myself rooting for the Rays in the first inning.
  11. Winning the division (not that it will actually happen) would be about the worst thing to happen to the fans. It would buy the management more time, they would suck more money from the fans, and the team would get humiliated in the first round of the playoffs. Plus, players that do need to get traded would end up sticking around.
  12. I knew this would happen once they won a game. The players on this team suck. They have no pitching and I’m not sure that Cease wasn’t a one year wonder. Lynn will continue to get shelled despite his good six innings the other night. Giolito too. They have no bullpen. They be closer to the Royals than the top. Don’t do this to yourselves.
  13. Probable. This game was a disaster. He’s gonna ride this till at least October.
  14. Great. They just saved Hahns job for the season.
  15. I truthfully thought they would not be very good. Im surprised Giolito had the success that he did.
  16. Yeah, it’s not the highlight of our days watching you lose, kid.
  17. Yeah but mathematically over 45 years with 26, 28, then 30 teams he should have won one by pure chance and appeared in a second World Series. In that time Minnesota won twice, Kansas City won twice and appeared three times, Cleveland appeared three times, Detroit twice. Not to mention franchises that didn’t even exist when he bought - Florida twice, Arizona once, Tampa Bay with 1.5 appearances, Colorado with an appearance. I won’t give him credit for something a monkey could have been trained to do. The one year they won was by pure luck anyway. They weren’t on anybody’s radar screen that year and no one got hurt. It was not by design. I still wish DeBartolo would have bought the team.
  18. Yes this season should be a monument to their incompetence. Isn't Reinsdorf in Arizona full time? At his age I wonder how aware he actually is. He may have no clue what’s going on. Maybe they give him 2005 newspapers every day and he wakes up and is happy his team is in first place.
  19. You can’t even count 2020. It was extended spring training.
  20. I agree. This team doesn’t show up ready to play. They show up ready to take it up the rear end again and again and again. I don’t have TV any more so I get most of my Sox info on the radio or reading the box score. I will check the score about 20 minutes after game start and it’s at the point where I’m surprised if they aren’t down 4-0. Time to get rid of Grifol and hire the next Scapegoat.
