It's actually 6/126 which is much better, but he can reach $150 with incentives.

Also will make a prediction the Cubs fans will turn on him very, very quickly

That deal will not age well, but Theo will just spend more money to cover the holes.

As he should.

Pressure back to the Brewers to put a deal together for Archer or sign Arrieta/Cobb/Lynn at least...

Because of course the Astros would also get a Top 5 Catcher on the cheap.

Unbelievable. What a sick lineup.

Darvish is a nice addition to the cubs rotation but that contract will not be as nice a few years from now.

Rickets bought the neighborhood. Cubs fans are paying him all day and all night when they go to the games. Money isn't an object.

What's the record?

What's the record?

The 1927 Yankees, of course. 49.3 WAR by their offense.

Best pitching staff of all time?

The 2017 Indians actually. 31.7 WAR, and a healthy about higher than #2 team, the 1996 Braves at 29.5.

The 1971 White Sox actually rank 11th all time, and somehow the 2011 White Sox rank #26 all time. Buehrle, Floyd, Humber, Danks all had 3+ WAR. Even Peavy/Edwin Jackson combined for 5.8 WAR. Sox almost had 6 starters with 3+ WAR (Edwin had 2.8). And also 3 relievers with 1+ (Thornton, Santos, Sale, with Crain at 0.9). What a pitching staff, jesus.

Esteban Loaiza was signed by Prison. Terms of deal TBD.

You'd think he'd post the 200k bail and duck out to somewhere without an extradition treaty. This is some crazy s*** for sure.

Former A's ace Jarrod Parker officially retiring Link

Red Sox will give Blake Swihart a shot at 2nd base in training camp w Pedroia still recovering from surgery.Maybe this is a guy who will turn up on waivers this spring or could be had in a swap of 2nd tier prospects. His value is low but he is out of options. He looks to be a "bust" but maybe a change of scenery and a move back to the position he wants to play could be a cheap gamble.

Two-time National League Cy Young winner Tim Lincecum took an important step on his Major League Baseball comeback trail Thursday by throwing in front of scouts.

Per FanRag Sports' Jon Heyman, Lincecum was averaging 90-93 mph with his pitches during the workout.

Heyman added there were between 25-30 scouts in attendance from at least 15 teams.

Lincecum's velocity was a vast improvement over where he was at in 2016 when he last pitched in the big leagues. The 33-year-old averaged 87.7 miles per hour with his fastball for the Los Angeles Angels, per FanGraphs.
