  • Huh?  Everyone knows that. It's the rule for this year. You gotta be up by September 15th. That's not Vaughn, that's everyone. This is not insider knowledge.  It's like tweeting "I have been informed

  • Lets pull a Miggy and throw him in RF.

  • I assume you have some inside info here. I'd put Moncada + Kopech in a similar category as Vaughn + Kopech, and that got Chris Sale, not a 34 year old with 1 year left on his deal.

With EE stepping up as of late, no idea how he gets at bats barring an injury or playtime in RF

Is there still the September 1 playoff roster deadline?  Doesn't he have to be called up today to be on a playoff roster?

There’s your answer on why they didn’t make a trade with anyone. Teams were asking for Vaughn.

from other teams trying to obtain him

100% Vaughn was in the asks for Lynn and Clevinger

I want him in the lineup so bad. He has just the perfect offensive profile.

Alright now you're speaking my language Rick. Hopefully he gets his debut against the Rangers

I hope he's been shagging fly balls in RF in Schaumburg.

Vaughn + Kopech didn't seem a fair ask?

It might be for someone, but not those guys.

Don’t waste him this year. No place to play him very much.

No disrespect to Encarnacion but I am ready to see what Vaughn can do.  It would be nice if RF were the only hole in the lineup...

At this point, with Engel emerging and Collins being sent down, might as well.

I think the Sox resist calling up Vaughn until 2021

You are probably right.  EE has been showing signs and he's earned some leeway.  As much as I would love to see Vaughn...

They don't need 1B and DH help, really.

RF, as others have said.

I think Vaughn can play a little around the infield, but with his speed, RF would not be pretty.  If Moncada has to miss significant time, maybe they bring him up to play 3b? Or obviously if EE can't get it together.

Of course Vaughn was in talks lol. Who else would teams want if they desire an offensive player from us?

Someone on the MLB roster. I'd bet Robert was asked about plenty, and not as a joke. Eloy probably, Moncada, maybe Madrigal. Indians were looking for MLB level talent.

Lets pull a Miggy and throw him in RF.

I would just keep vaughn down until 2021. Maybe he could help the team but there already is a roster crunch at 1b/dh.

No need to start his clock now, let him earn it in the minors next year. I would just start him in AA next year and if he starts hot you call him up after a month. That way you get the extra service year plus super 2 and the crunch should be resolved a little as EE option won't be picked up.

Start collins or yermin at DH for that month and then call up Vaughn, trade collins and enjoy him until 2027.

yah, he should be down for service time. no reason to waste a year of vaughn when really there's no home. this year has been fun, but imagine a real year, 4 years from now when these guys are all in their prime, with fans packing the park every night.

only fleeting thought would be something like moncada in RF and vaughn at 3B. but that really is killing your defense and unnecessary.

Guys, the White Sox look amazing offensively and the best bat of the bunch, possibly, hasn't even joined the club yet. This... is....... amazing.
