Grandal can frame well, but he's a liability at the plate. I hope this is just a down year, but he's hard to watch at the moment

Yaz needs more consistent PAs and lower in the order. It seems like he only plays 4-5 games a week.

Well, he’s not getting any younger

I think Grandal will be fine.  He has a great approach at the plate generally.  The results will eventually start to show.  It would be helpful if he sat less often, but McCann is so good..

If its at DH, thats fine. But he's  currently being outperformed by our other catcher.

just as an FYI, Gordon Beckham is in his 10th year in the league. He can't hit. He is a utility guy who is solid everywhere and is only kind of bad as a hitter.

Yolmer is an elite defender. He has accumulated 4.6 WAR in 2438 AB's. It is not good, but it is 100% a MLB player

This is a solid comp. Let's be honest,  I know Mendick is the new toy, but we are probably looking at a guy who will settle into this exact type of career. Maybe a bit better of a hitter than Yolmer,  but not as good of a fielder. In reality this is squabbling over Replacement level players.
