Man I don't want to face Cleveland in the playoffs. Kind of hoping for Astros or Jays and hoping Cleveland just gets knocked out first series.

Ruiz and Gio just pitched back to back the highest leverage innings of the season.  Did I already post this?  You can only laugh to keep from crying.

  • This was the 13th game in a row. Guys are tired and there are no opportunities to catch a breather, let some soreness work itself out, or have a day to clear your head by not going to the ballpark.  I

I'd far rather play the Indians than the Astros.

Give me the lesser pitching for sure.

Seriously, Astros are washed and don't have cole or verlander to save them this year.

One last turn around the rotation starts tonight. For as bad as the first turn was in late July, we need some quality starts to end it. A nice 4-1 win tonight. Madrigal with the big hit. Let’s go!

You have to beat the best to be the best. They are going to face Bieber tonight, Darvish this weekend. Winning the Division is still in their complete control but they certainly are going to have to go out and earn it.

I'm happy to see that Engel is getting a start.

I hope so Jose, I really do...

A win tonight and Twins loss would be HUGE and make me a very happy camper.

Could leave Cleveland with a 4.5 game lead over the Tribe and 2 games over the Twins.

Its possible, but a lot to ask for sure.

My unread text messages now are set to a notification level of 88. Thus, it means Robert is breaking out tonight in an unlikely fashion.

Exactly.

Exactly.

I'll take a walk, a hit, and a catch near the wall as signs of a breakout. Just needs to get his confidence back, playing near everyday maximizes the opportunities.

I have confidence in the team tonight, Bieber is most excellent, but if the team works the counts and remains patient they can get to him and their bullpen.

Not intimidating:

While I generally agree with Abreu's comments, my worry is that team-wide slumps usually last longer than 5 games.

We werent good against the Twins and we got lucky that they were even worse. I would say our team slump is at 9 games.

I appreciate Abreu being a leader, and vocally, but I'm not buying it. These guys haven't relaxed after clinching as we see many of the same good things and bad things. Maybe that was the case the first Cincy game. The reasons I think they are struggling in order.

1. Facing good teams with elite pitching.

2. Not hitting enough with runners on base, not squaring up bad pitches.

3. Walking too many batters.

4. Poor lineup construction and bullpen usage.

My playoff stopper is Keuchel not Gio. You have to earn that.

LETS FUCKING GO!

( I really don't use that word outside of Soxtalk anymore... but this circumstance brings it on. Win the game, White Sox. )

Need a W badly

Just do it :gosox1:

“Win it”, says Giolito. Start with today big guy. Win this.

Good start. I mean who needs to swing
