Lynn, Hendricks, Eaton...not a bad offseason at all but let’s hope there’s still a cherry on top to come

Yes, now go get the starting pitcher, reliever and backup catcher.

Hello everyone!  I just found the board a couple of weeks ago and this is my first post.  I'm from Southern Illinois and I am primarily a St. Louis Cardinals fan, but I've always liked the White Sox a

Does it matter really if they’re never close to it?

It’s an odd structure on the option/buyout but whatever, lower AAV makes me like it all the more.

I’ll take a serving.

Window is OPEN...Bullpen is CLOSED. Good luck hitting after the 7th inning league.

4th year is probably a burn year, uncle Jerry just didn’t want to shell out $15M all at once. Probably $5m over 3y or $1M over 15y, the new Bobby Bonilla!

Trade next?

I think they sign a starter.

Very interesting...so basically it’s 4 years 54 mil, but the Sox built in a “parachute clause” to be able to cut ties and payout the last $15M over time if things go bad.

So $15 million as a buy out over time to go away or $15 million to stay. Creative.

Is the time finally now that Heuer gets traded :)

I hope not! If he's the 6th or 7th inning guy. Holy bullpen.

Just wasn’t sure why they structured it this way and my post was before they mentioned the deferred element of the buyout.

Jerry probably doesn’t think he will care much in 4 years

I like it. Sign a SP, maybe add one more bat like LaStella, call it an off-season.

Basically a 4 year deal.

Imagining that 1-2-3 punch of Crochet, Bummer, and Hendriks. Very nice to think about

Then go sign Bauer dammit.......

Basically 4 yr deal

It’s not in Sox vocabulary so they haven’t thought of that.

In all seriousness, since it’s still treated as a 4 year contract, I think the AAV is still the same.

I remember people here were crapping on some Score show host or whatever who said that the Sox never planned on spending big money or giving out long-term deals or signing top-tier FAs this offseason.  Some people took shots at him saying he had no sources while slurping up the food guys.  Well, who was really right?  By my estimation, "no source" Score is correct and the food frauds are still frauds.

Aged like a fine wine. Thanks for getting this deal done.

LET'S GOOOOO!  Love it.  Didn't think the Sox would do it.

Rick Hahn certainly knows how to structure contracts.
