Look, obviously Trevor Bauer should be the answer, but the Sox aren't in that market.  For my two cents, when I look at this rotation as it stands today there are a whole of of innings and starts to f

I've got to ASSume that this means we have a better plan in place (that hopefully doesn't fall through). 8 mill on a 1 yr and Q made too much sense for the Sox and for him to return.

Q might really like playing for Maddon. CA has something like a 13% state income tax on a salary that high. Of course he would only pay tax on half, but it's a decent chunk of money. It tells me the Sox weren't too interested in a reunion.

This really frosts my buns. Cheapskates! Bad Sox!

Wow.  That seems like an ideal fit for the Sox.  Too bad.  Good Luck Q!

It certainly was an obvious fit.  Probably means there is another plan that is bigger and better.  We can hope.

It almost brings it to, there better be, or else this was a huge missed opportunity.

How do you get that though without trading Kopech, Vaughn, Crochet? The Sox don't have as deep of a system to make those quantity or quality deals.

Answer would be sign Trevor Bauer but I doubt that will happen.

Joe Maddon was likely the deciding factor if he received bids from any other team. They had a good relationship.

Q’s clubhouse ties with the White Sox are gone.

I think this is the correct take on the Q signing.  Something is going down soon I would imagine.

Sox must have something else in mind they did not get him for 8m

So what was the Hector rumor a couple days ago about some good news for the White Sox fans happening soon??  I'm still waiting. Or was that shot down?

He did say over the next few days, and so far: nothing.

Edit: if the rumors are true, I doubt he is connected enough to know about a potential Sox/Brewers trade. Seems to be more on the Dominican player side.

Well we wait and wait, Musgrove gone, Quintana gone. Odorizzi is left out there. Do they go for him now?? Are we saving the money for Bauer? Cruz? Ozuna?

Only time will tell if we roll the dice with Vaughn at DH, and hope Cease?Kopech or Lopez emerge.

I ASSume you are correct.?

Yeah this would have been a great get for the White Sox, and at the right price. Hopefully they've got something else up their sleeves.

I think not getting Q at this price means it's a sure thing that something bigger and better is brewing.

There is nothing great about Jose Quintana

Nice accidental pun.

Have to wonder how healthy he is given nobody would even go 2/15 it appears.  Might have dodged a bullet here.

Right or wrong, that has nothing to do with whether or not it would have been a "great get" for the White Sox.

A good point.

No more moves are planned. Bad idea.

I have a feeling this is going to be a mistake as we wind up with someone like Cahill after missing everyone..

This is my worst non-move of the off-season.

I’m only happy when it rains.
