The TLR Manager Thread

Featured Replies

What the hell is change the game supposed to mean?

Respect the opponent? FUCK the opponent. The opponent would GLADLY step on your neck and beat you 16-4 if the tables were turned. If the opponent has a problem with it, play better.

Such dumb ass shit from TLR.

Really wish this wasn't happening at the beginning of a road trip, next Monday is the next home game.

Are they trolling us?

The punishment is having to sit down with Tony and listen to him ramble about David Eckstein for an hour. Cruel and unusual if you ask me.

I'm sure the clubhouse does care but not enough to distract them and start losing games.

I think it’d be whatever if I had any belief we weren’t going to be doing  this every couple weeks

The punishment is getting behind the wheel with LaRussa after you just watched him smash a case of beer or bottle of liquor.

pro sports is quite the snow globe.  and I think the people inside enjoy being shook up once and awhile and having the interested onlookers on the outside gawking.

May be a Twitter screenshot of text that says 'LGE 62% Tweet 16:52 Jesse Rogers @JesseRogers... 42m Tony La Russa was 'upset' that Yermin Mercedes hit home run on a 3-0 count last night in a blowout win. Pretty sure TLR is a wino.

Let's just summarize this for easy reading:

- Yermin Mercedes hit a home run in the 9th inning

- Tony LaRussa wanted him to keep his bat on his shoulder

- As the home run landed, LaRussa was apologizing to the Twins for his player hitting a home run against a hated rival

- Today, as the Sox prepare to win another game, Tony spent most of his time ripping his star rookie in the media, airing out all his grievances about sportsmanship and how to play the game the right way, and talking about spankings (?!?!)

It's like we are living in bizarro world.

Well thankfully the Twins have been satisfied here.

I don’t think that really matters with this team. Stone was mentioning the best clubhouse he was a part of was the Orioles and they all hated Earl Weaver.

You notice this example comes from the early 1970's, right?

Fuck Tony. That is all.

1000 just followed Tony’s spiel with a drunk driving pea commercial lmaoooooo

There are like two people you can't lose in this clubhouse and Tim Anderson is the other one.

Can I take a steaming dump into Tony’s mouth, please?

Now the players are publicly disrespecting the manager.  Not good.  Mercedes should be given a formal warning.

*worlds largest fart noise*

Winning cures everything, but if the season starts going south, things could get REALLY ugly.

Can he have it in writing?

LaRussa should have kept his mouth shut and dealt with this in-house.

Hell yeah. It's astounding how many baseball people are Team Yermin on this one, further demonstrating how out of touch TLR is.

This is not a big deal. The players know TLR for who and what he is. An old man from the old school who they just have to put up with.

LaRussa should have said nothing.  But he was asked a question and had to be honest.  It will all blow over, stop being so dramatic everybody.

Who even keeps track of stuff like this?
