Expect Sheets to be in the lineup over Yermin tomorrow.

This is the scariest match-up of the series IMO.

agreed

I think Kuechel is going to pitch well tonight.

Would like to see Yermin sit a couple of games and Sheets play.

Lamb’s first priority to play right now.  It’s possible Yermin will go to the bench soon enough, or at least start platooning.

Need Dallas to rebound and pitch better, especially against this lineup.

A day or two might be good. He had some good AB’s the last game against CLE, but didn’t look great last night. You can tell he’s getting in his own head a bit.

FYI: Tickets for the July 23-25 series in Milwaukee want on sale 4 minutes ago.

Turnbull has actually been better vs. LH batters. Nevertheless, we should expect La Russa to use several LH hitters tonight. Lamb should get another start and Sheets may have his MLB debut.

R SS TA

L LF Eaton

S 3B Moncada

R 1B Abreu

L DH Lamb

S  C Grandal

L RF Sheets

S CF Hamilton

R 2B Madrigal

That's what I would do.

Eaton needs to not be anywhere near the 2-hole. Too many AB's for someone who is not producing at all.

Yermin should be sitting for a couple games atleast.

Just move Madrigal to 2.

Do we know how the Sox are announcing or releasing ticket availability for later in the season? I've got a trip back to town in August during the Yankees series and want to be able to buy direct from the team, rather than get raked for re-sale prices on a premiere weekend matchup.

I'd play him tomorrow against the lefty. Should have gotten Sheets in lineup yesterday and today (for all we know Vaughn could be taken off Covid IL as early as today).

They can light Turnbull up.  Dallas just needs to give them 6 innings and under 4 runs allowed.

Looking at the numbers, the tigers hit keuchel very well

Wait a few days. 100% capacity is supposedly coming.

We went to a 3-2 count twice last night  so I'd call those good AB's.

they really weren't tho because in both of them he missed great pitches to hit. i'm not a yermin hater or pumper but right now he's scuffling and with lamb hot and sheets also hot he should probably sit against most RHP for a week or so.

Chitownsportsfan made a good point that he missed a couple mistakes. Didn’t hit anything hard. I would add that most of the balls weren’t really competitive pitches either. I’m rooting for the kid and think it’s more of a rookie slump than condemnation of his talent, but it wasn’t a great showing. To me he looked, for the first time I noticed anyways, exasperated.
Obviously I have no idea what’s going on in his head, but I think a day or two might do some good. If not, fingers crossed he crushes it

ZIPS now thinks Jake Lamb rest of schedule is like a 106 wRC+ hitter, which...is interesting.  Going to be quite the logjam in the OF later this year.

Mercedes has a .426 OPS since TLR called him out on may 17th.
