I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a team hit into so many double plays.

I'm not sure how accurate this is but apparently we are 3rd to last in double plays per game.

Surprisingly, five teams have hit into more DPs than the Sox, including the Yankees and Astros.

Good offensive teams are generally going to ground into more double plays because they get more guys on base

We have a large ground ball hitting rate.  We need to adjust by calling more hit and run plays, even if you get thrown out is only one out vs all the double plays we have been hitting into.  We would also open holes in the infield.  We are sitting ducks in a station to station static game.
