LOL.  I think he didn't use Lamb to avoid the DP, knowing Seby would K and Tim gets to bat.

La Russa out here playing 4D chess.

Of course Sox don’t score in the 8th

its the 8th inning. over/under 1.5 runs

Kopech has had the two worst performances out of the pen.  Today and against Cleveland.

His last three outings have been horrific.

Anyone questioning anything ever with the bullpen is not paying attention.

Hopefully they can right the ship but resting the starting staff is taking a toll on the overall team performance.

Tim ripped that but right to the CF.

This is setting up for Kimbrel in to face Bichette with someone on

Kimbrel time? ? ??

He smoked it, nothing more he can do. Man, Hernandez and TA both made outs on balls hit 100 mph

Here comes the dreaded bottom of the 8th inning... oh boy

Tim hit that hard, just bad luck.

Kimbrel for the 9th?

Grandal is in the lineup (at 1B) for Charlotte tonight. I think with most guys that finished up a rehab assignment in Charlotte they were given the day off before being activated in Chicago.

Just something to keep an eye on.

Except he thinks he is playing checkers.

Can Sox have a 1-2-3 8th for once?

Crochet?!?? is Tony learning?

Crochet seems to be figuring it out in the bullpen.

LaRussa has managed this game like he has managed most of this season: Like it doesn't matter whether they win or not. It's August and he's managing it like it's a spring training game.

What is he supposed to.  The bullpen isn't getting it done, there is no magic bullpen arm.   Maybe leave Rodon in but in reality with a 9-2 if your bullpen cannot hold the lead you deserve to lose and there is nothing the manager can do about it.

Seby keeps tapping the ground on sliders and I wonder if the hitters can hear that. He needs to do it on some fastballs to keep the hitters guessing.

Cesar is ballin.

The Cesar Hernandez show.

Hernandez is single handedly keeping us in this game.

Say what you want but Cesar is a good second baseman

Cesar is saving us on defense today.

Cesars defense matters. Its gonna come up clutch in October.
