I'm glad to be your punching bag bro, but I didn't give up 9 runs.

Imagine being a manager and knowing you have 5 fresh relievers and 1 who hasn't been successful on back to back and pitched yesterday and say to yourself, let's go get the former in the biggest moment

We can still win this series. We just have to score more runs than Houston and you can take that to the bank

  • Let’s GO! Lots of pressure on Houston. They need to win one of the next three if they want to force a game 5.

This is just a better team they are playing too…they came to play.

lol that's definitely a hit against us. We don't even shift to have a fielder to get close enough to make that play. We're just behind the times in terms of analytics.

Amazing what actual defensive placement can do for a game...

This was supposed to be what we brought Tony LaRussa here for, and everything about these first two games he has failed at.  I would have still rather had Ricky than this show.

TLR was an epic epic fail.. but we knew that right when it was reported.

Poor defense

Walks

poor bullpen management

poor bullpen

 No power at the plate

When it rains it pours

The idea was right. The performance was an epic failure.

I supported the addition of Kimbrel and acknowledged the price was incredibly high, but he failed to deliver on all levels.

Just an embarrassing showing. God damnit this franchise is awful.

I agree with this. I know Kimbrel has struggled before but he has a HoF pedigree. Who knows why he sucks now, it's too bad for us though.

Hey look, the Astros were positioned up the middle!

The problem wasn't using him as a starter because he really is the best we have available. The problem is that he's the best available.

The real problem is shifting him to RF for no fucking reason.

If the Sox lose this series (which let's be honest...they probably will) there is zero reason to bring TLR back. Zero.

But you are all about enjoying it.

Astros are clearly the superior team

who thought otherwise?

Moncada giving his usual effort.

The joke is anyone thinking Hahn has any idea how to build a title contender. Never seen someone so bad at scouting major league talent

Unfortunately no one will be held accountable. Maybe a base coach will be let go for some reason

Getting clowned by the Astros, fuck this shit.

They look completely defeated this inning

Maybe we can walk a few more guys. Embarrassing effort by the pitching, especially Giolito.

Good hustle...at least Yoan will be healthy to party next week

He will be back unless he decides to leave.

Yup, cya. I defended him but this is it for him.

He felt like the fans here who panicked and thought Sox needed to make a massive move so he was like oh let me give up all these peeps to get a closer cause it’s all I got.

Was totally unnecessary. Don’t get me wrong I wouldn’t have made any trade other than what they had already done at that point so people would be ripping me for other reasons but I would be like it’s all good cause I got money and flexibility to go after someone else in off-season.

The best trades are sometimes the ones you never make.

The Sox would be in a way better position next year if they had just done nothing.

There was zero reason to bring him here in the first place.
