The team they're playing has way better players.

Honestly, they're not this much better, the White Sox coaching staff is making them look better.

What a 4 and a half hour Sox playoff win does to this 20 year old dog of mine...

  • How about for '22 we invoke a dress code for starters. Caps on straight, shirts buttoned and no jewelry. We lead the league in chains. Maybe hire Gabe Kapler away from Giants to instill a little purpo

  • You seem like a nice enough fellow but… respectfully… get the fuck out of here.

Good starting pitching would be covering a lot of these holes. The whole idea of a strong bullpen is getting to them with a lead in the 5th or 6th. We haven't done that all series - starters have given up a ton of runs before the 5th.

We need good starting pitching to be successful in the postseason, period.

Hanging breaking ball and still hits a ground ball.

Thanks for always smashing everything into the ground.

just keep smashing them into the ground its working out so well!

The worst part about this is having to root for Boston in the ALCS. Never thought I'd do that.

I doubt I watch anything if MKE doesn't survive, but its Anyone But Houston at this point.

Truth is, the AL top teams are really freaking good. Teams like the Yankees and Toronto are going to keep getting better. This isn’t like 2005 where Sox could have above average, but not great, talent and compete against the Angels and Red Sox, etc.

The goal this offseason needs to be to improve, and not just sustain, the talent level.

Jose carries us to the title.

The offseason will be Sox fans being told health and growth are the answer to next year and hoping starting pitching is as good as this year.

Yup. And how Leury or Vaughnn will be considered for 2nd base cause they would have to get creative with the stretched budget lol

ABSOLUTE HANGER!!

......and he grounds out.

Way too many groundballs being hit by this team this year

The entire coaching staff needs to go.

Agree. Bad fundamentals. Lack of adjustments. No running game. Not keeping runners close. Very high ground ball rate. Bad pitch selections. Bad bullpen management. And on and on.  Mismanaged the high quality resources they were given. Hahn should also go. His trade deadline acquisitions were teriblr except Tepera.

TBH, unless this team turns into a juggernaut the likes of which we haven't seen in a decade or two, our coaching disadvantage will cost us next October too.

This is the painful unfortunate truth.

They need power. This is the AL

Both of the teams that were caught cheating  are going to be in the ALCS. Imagine that.

That ball looked a lot like Grandal's 2 run homer in game 3.

Second base, right field, maybe another starter. This postseason is scaring me for the top 4 next year.

Watch the Red Sox against these guys. I doubt you're going to see a starter last 5+ the whole series, maybe from both teams. A lot of them will last 3 or 4 innings and will be pulled before they're allowed to break.

The lineups are too good. You tell your guy to empty the tank the first 3 or 4 innings and that you will pull him when he gets into trouble. Note how different that has been from the White Sox, who only pulled 1 starter with the lead all series (Giolito - and in that case they brought in a guy who was bound to fail!)

10 outs left.  Need a run for every 2 outs.

They are better though. Game 1 and game 4 looked like how we look against the bottom feeders of the league.

How do you swing through a 90 mph fastball right down the middle?

The coaching staff only scored 6 combined runs in 3 games?  C'mon man, clearly outmatched.

Would you go after correa and put Tim at 2nd?

Can't move Tim off SS or leadoff..no rationale reason but they won't.  Same reason Moncada can't play 2B.

Hope Ray Ray chimes in with the stellar numbers from 1 through 6 and how 7-9 are the problem.

2-0 meatball right down the middle and ELOY swings through it
