They have enough money under the tax to win a bidding war for Conforto right now. The new CBA was flexible enough on that.

If they would commit to doing that and have him around as a 6th starter, I would totally be cool with them adding another legit SP.

Maybe I'm in the minority, but money not being part of the discussion, I prefer Conforto over Kris Bryant. Not that we'll get either.

I think Conforto will get less than Bryant so you can factor that in too. I also think Conforto is a better fit.

Will be excited if they sign Bryant or Castellanos though lol

I hate to be the glass half empty guy, but this new deal raised the luxury tax threshold which probably gave some teams more money to throw at some of the Sox FA targets.
