  • He’s still great on tv.  He’s absolutely brutal on Twitter.  He’s a yes man and he’s a condescending jackass on social media.

  • At least they didn't get roped along all off-season only to get Manny Machado's friends and relatives. It could be a lot worse.

  • So I just got a text from a buddy of mine who is very connected (to MLB not necessarily Sox). Said Sox are on fire right now and close on a couple sizeable moves.

Does this take Yankees out of Correa sweepstakes?  Down to Astros and Cubs?

I don’t think so. It looks like they are tearing it down and building around Buxton.

Not tearing it down. They just traded their first rounder for Sonny Gray today. Retooling and free up space for a signing is my guess.

They still need so much pitching tho and there is so little left.

Yeah, why try to get better after a first round humiliation.  Thanks for expert analysis Steve!

I know Volpe is coming, but Yankees fans are going to revolt if Kiner-Falefa is their Opening Day SS

Cubs signed Simmons. Correa is probably going back to the Astros.

Save a lot of money and get rid of the guy who gets five calf injuries a year.

They're rebuilding .Out with the old big contracts get a smaller one back in Sanchez then dump his too. I mean if you can't live with a 1 yr. $7.5 M contract that's a rebuild.

Well getting better defensively to me doesn't mean putting Gavin Sheets into RF. Guy had -2 DRS in a very limited showcase. That's brutal.

From all accounts, Cubs didn’t get Simmons to start full time

So should the Sox spend big for a RF?

Yeah it goes against what Stone said

Yeah I think someone posted on here earlier that the Twins are just looking forward to 2023 or something along those lines. Either way they are shedding salary for something. Either a rebuild or a big signing but they still need more pitching.

You don’t trade for Gray then

I love Gavin Sheets when he's not playing RF and he's part of a DH/1B platoon

Unless they flip him too.

Why did they just trade their last 1st rounder for a SP with 2 years control then? Doesn’t make any sense….yet anyways. It’s definitely interesting.

It doesn’t make any sense but maybe they are going after Bryant since they got rid of Donaldson. Just a swap.

I bet Yankees use Torres now in a deal for Manaea and Olson

Story makes so much sense for them
