I don't need a bidding war for Kimbrel, I just need him gone.

  • He’s still great on tv.  He’s absolutely brutal on Twitter.  He’s a yes man and he’s a condescending jackass on social media.

  • At least they didn't get roped along all off-season only to get Manny Machado's friends and relatives. It could be a lot worse.

  • So I just got a text from a buddy of mine who is very connected (to MLB not necessarily Sox). Said Sox are on fire right now and close on a couple sizeable moves.

I think the Sox would like a bidding war.

I'd certainly be cool with one.

If signing a big bat is contingent on moving Kimbrel, then a bidding war could be counterproductive if it takes too long.

I don't need a new BMW, but I sure wouldn't be upset about one.

Fortunately, for some of the names that we want, their agent is a man who doesn't mind his clients waiting, even as far as into the season.

I think we need Kenley to decide before Kimbrel gets moved, but of course it’s possible Kenley has to wait until Freeman picks a team.

If they are trying to flip him for prospect capital to use for a starting pitcher, then by all means wait it out for the best offer.  But if they just need that $16M freed up to sign Conforto, rip the bandaid off and get it done.

The problem is when guys sign really late, like after the season has already begun, they usually have crappy numbers.

Hey, I didn’t say they did good haha just that they can wait, likely into spring training games starting.

In other word, TA isn’t going anywhere.

It is actually weird how often media people badly overlook basic details about this team.

Tatis injured? shocker...

Kid is made of glass.

We really need Freeman & Correa to sign so the market gets moving.

Even after he returns doesn't it take awhile before the strength in the wrist actually gets back to 100%?

Dude is heading towards Derrick Rose territory, except the team is locked into the contract.

I wonder when he broke it. You have to wonder if not having access to team doctors affected his return timeline.

apparently had a bad bike crash and people are speculating that he didn't get it fixed immediately. this contract is going to be monumentally bad. shoulders and wrists are no joke, especially with his absolutely violent swing style.

I'm sure with the kind of money he's getting paid he didn't need to wait for the lockout to end before hiring a specialist.

The shoulder is also a ticking time bomb.

What teams could actually be players for Kimbrel?  Sounds like Philly is out.  I've seen some speculation, but I don't know what is more or less realistic.
