Could be a BPPV benign paraoximal positional vertigo where he only has issues with his head in certain positions.

The looking up over his shoulder in the OF would do it.

I had vertigo of the type you describe.  Went to a vertigo specialist in Hinsdale.  He could tell me by looking into my eyes when I was experiencing Vertigo by moving me around into sitting, laying, and shifting positions.  He prescribed exercises and I was over it in approximately 10 days.  It has something to do with the inner ear I believe.

It is the inner ear. It's the position of the otoliths (little rocks) in the semi-circular canal.

The tests and exercises are usually the Dix-Hallpike maneuver.  Although there are others.

The episode is usually resolved with 2 weeks or so.

So you are saying we should see Robert back soon?

If that's what it is. I have no idea if it is. His symptoms are similar to this bit it could be many other rhings.

Looks like Hahn is gonna have to trade for a real OFer if this is a lingering issue with Robert.

The guy I wanted is now a Yankee. The rich get richer.

Glad to hear this.  Not sure why he needs a rehab assignment after this, but sure.

That would be delightful.

The guy who had the Luis Robert rehab assignment before anyone else said Sunday is the targeted return.

So who is going to get hurt in the next 3 days so our lineup isn't complete

Hopefully Engle is in center the next two days.

Active Hurt / Not Fully Healthy

  • Eloy is still hurt.
  • Joe Kelly is hurt, though Tony is going La La La La La La La La and pretending he is not.
  • Grandal doesn't appear to be able to catch more than once a series.
  • Ditto Engel (healthy/good enough to go once a series)

Hopeful

  • Harrison is fine after 3 of 4 days rest.
  • Liam is OK now that he has returned to sea level.
  • Tim has recovered from All Star Game Jet Lag.

Still on the IL: Bummer, Burger, Crick, Lopez, Robert, Velasquez

Still Dead: Crochet, Mendick, Neidermeyer, Stiever

Exactly what I said too. Literally every time we're only one position player away and there's some light at the end of the tunnel, the next injury comes in

I sound very smart when I just memorize whatever @ptatc says and tell other people who aren't on Soxtalk about it.

A lesson in life is knowing when other people are really smart in a particular area.

Luis is good......I found this entertaining

Right? It feels like a lineup with TA, Yoan, Robert, Abreu, Yaz, Eloy, Vaughn and Pollock is not actually allowed to happen.

Add Liam to the Active Hurt.

I don't think we will see him on back to backs again this season.

Graveman is another one to keep your eye on.

I never had it fully diagnosed but I had a bad bout of what you're describing for like 3-4 months, it finally went away after doing some exercises recommended by my doctor. But it SUCKED. Whenever I would get up from bed or a chair, I would get light-headed, dizzy, that rush of blood feeling, it was awful.
