Taylor probably sticks at 3rd. Surprised he went after Wilken.

He has zero chance to play SS and he swings the bat like he's underwater.

  • I don't quite understand how one can have a 30 grade run tool and play shortstop. Though I'm just a filthy casual draft fan.

  • It took like 15 minutes of clicking, but I finally got us there.

On the bright side, there should be a lot fewer players that should go off the board before our pick in 2024

Who would you rather have Gonzalez or Brayden Taylor?

So are we assuming this was a Hahn pick over a Shirley pick?

Yup

The guy the Rays picked.

We need another shortstop prospect. Montgomery, Popeye, Sosa, Burrowes..

I'd much rather they load up on shortstops instead of first baseman.

He can't.

I’ve never seen a 30 grade anything.  What’s a good comp?  Was Nick Madrigal 30 grade power?

is Grandal a 30 grade runner?

Grandal would technically be a 20 grade runner, although they may want to rethink the numbering system to allow a lesser figure just for him.

Id lean its a JR pick lol

Technically they just did bc he won't be playing SS or 2B at the upper levels imo.  He will have to move to corner infield if he was really grades at 30

So Shirley picked the last three years and now after they've had success Hahn is going to push his way back in.

I wanted Nimmala. Big sad.

Blue Jays grab Nimmala.

I'd rather have a SS with good instinct over speed.

So if Gonzalez makes the bigs, does he play 3B? 2B?

Some sweet defensive highlights:

Hahn has never had a "guy" in his career that he came close to discovering...

No you wouldn't.  A SS needs great feet to get in position to field the ball.

Elly de la Cruz...ONeil Cruz, and Tatis Jr., say good luck with that.

It's like ChatGPT4 versus Sox Pong.

I mean, you can never have enough SS prospects.  Not defending the pick, but him being a SS is not the reason to dislike.

Dude looks like he’s running in mud.  Granted the highlights are on homers, but still.
