GT 8/3: Outfielders? We don't need no stinking outfielders!

Part of the reason Harrison has only hit .240 this season is that his line drive rate is down by about 8%. Mostly replaced by ground balls. No one is safe from ground ball mania once they come to the Sox.

Like another run to save LH for another day

Me either, I was at the game and couldn't believe how fast it got out of the park and how low it was hit.

Dick Allen used to hit those line drives that just kept on rising.  My favorite baseball player of all time.

This Sox team is the definite proof that batting average is a useless stat.

This should be a laugher at this point.

12 hits - 11 singles

4th highest team batting average but they still can't score runs. Yep.

Convince Yoan every AB is with RISP. He's still been the best hitter on the team, by far, in those situations. Bizarro Timmy in so many ways.

He only has 27 RBI's, I don't think he's close to being the best clutch hitter on this team.

Without the homer we're tied right now. Probably about 30 LOB.

If they were actually fast, it wouldn't be as much of an issue. I've never seen a team hit this many singles yet have so many slow ass players.

Without the homer the Royals are scoreless.

Well this is the first season he's faced AL pitching.

He played in the AL last year and in 2019.

Should have way more than 4 runs

Hmm Stoney started talking about what they found about Robert. Vitamin deficiency .. then cut off by the Engel out.

Bring Burger up.  Start him at 3B.  Let Yoan come in late in the game for defense.  When Yoan starts hitting again gradually increase his playing time.  If he's gets back to what he's supposed to be Moncada wins his starting job back and everyone is happy.

Choosing between Burger's glove or Yoan's bat is some legit pick your poison stuff.

Four runs on twelve hits. This team isn't even fun to watch when they're hitting and winning. This game should be a fucking blowout, except the Sox can't hit anything but singles.

Fuck Menenchino.

That wouldn’t make that much of a difference though.

Putting the ball in play and hitting the other way would be WSI‘s (RIP) collective dream come through tho ?

There was some reporting on this the other day. It was a combination of a virus and vitamin deficiency. That was about the extent of what was said.

Home runs are bad!

They'd actually be able to go from 1st to 3rd and score easily on singles with a guy on 2nd. Those 2 things are challenges for the Sox.

"Fuck the home run" - Frank Menechino

Liam reaching out for that ball with his barehand was just......crazy stupidity.

Isbel was playing Abreu so deep earlier and Vaughn didn’t even think of trying to score
