Got tickets to the game Sunday, wouldn’t be attending if it wasn’t with my grade school friends, after this one I’m done until major changes happen with the organization. Look for my signs in the RF stands.

Leading the way of parity.

The history of this org is mired in mediocrity ?

And now they have to play .600 ball to win 86 games. And hope that’s enough. Terrible season.

This season has been one long sine wave along the .500 line. The summer of “meh”.

1990-2008 or 1990-2012 were "pretty pretty good."

Still consistently underachieving JR's stated goal of second place every season to keep fans interested/engaged, at least from 2013-2022, on average.

All Time White Sox 122 Year History

Fans born after October 1, 1967 have never lived during the best ten decade stretches in White Sox history. Eight of the ten included the Go-Go Sox Era.

Best Decade Stretches in White Sox History

  • 1-4. .568 1955-1964; 1954-1963; 1953-1962; 1952-1961 (162 Game Equivalent 92-70)
  • 5-6. .567 1956-1965; 1951-1960  (162 Game Equivalent 92-70)

Nine of the ten of worst decades (.422-.450) in White Sox history occurred between 1922-1939 (1941-1950, 9th worst, was the exception).

All eleven of the worst generational stretches in White Sox history (.447 - .463) also occurred after the Black Sox Scandal (1920-1951).

85-86 win carrot seasons defined the best six Reinsdorf decades, all occurring between 1990-2009.

  • 6. .518 1992-2011 (162 Game Equivalent 84-78)

You likely intuitively knew GM Rick Hahn was part of most (6) or all (10) seasons during the five worst decades and generational stretches during the Reinsdorf Era.

We're competitive so JR is happy. Fighting for a playoff spot. Super rad.

Sweep the Tigers, then go 2-5 vs the Astros and Guardians. Right back to .500.

11-8 vs. the so-called easy schedule.  Only requires a three game sweep of the Tigers on the road…most were pretty close in predicting roughly 8-11 through 11-8.

Their next 19 game stretches:

  • 4 vs. Houston; 3 @ Cleveland; 1 @ Kansas City; 3 @ Baltimore; 3 vs. Arizona; Off Day3 vs. Kansas City; 2 vs. Minnesota
  • 1 vs. Minnesota; 3 @ Seattle; 4 @ Oakland; Off Day2 vs. Colorado; Off Day3 @ Detroit; Off Day3 vs. Cleveland; 3 vs. Detroit

Season Closeout:

  • Off Day3 @ Minnesota; 3 @ San Diego; 3 vs. Minnesota

I remember the 1990 team as one of my favorites. Their leading home run hitter was Carlton Fisk with 18. They had no superstars; Frank Thomas had been just called up in August. Their motto was "Doing the Little Things." Little things were advancing runners, getting runners home from third with less than two outs, turning the double play. They won 94 which was good for the third best record in baseball. The White Sox need to do the little things if they want to get over .500.

I don’t think it’s a matter of little things, big things, or medium things.

It’s literally anything besides shitting the bed that is needed from this group

.500 is where we be when the dust settles this year
