He hasn't been the same since The Fridge got a TD in the '85 Superbowl and he didn't.

This franchise is its own worst enemy.  They have earned the ire of every fan.  The benefit of the doubt is gone.  Look, I could even live with Cleveland beating this team, and beating them handily.

He doesnt want to wear a shin guard because it clashes with his neon accessories.

Usually when Yo fouls one off his body he K's so lets see.

I had Moncada striking out there -1000 so I'm surprised there

Dare I suggest that they give Vaughn reps at 1B in the last 8 games; maybe play Gonzales every  day.

Another embarrassing loss. A 2 hit shutout of the Sox with 14Ks.  Someone needs to be held accountable. Is  there  no professional pride and character  in this team?

This team quitting worse than Ozzie did his last year.

And Payton isn’t play why again?

Let it burn to finish - no mercy - they need to clean house - front office on down.

The garbage rebuilding Cubs now have 68 wins the "supposed" World Series contending White Sox have 76.

Six straight games scoring three runs or less, now up to 77 in 154 games, that's 50%

This is beyond embarrassing, these guys gave up last Wednesday night.

Just disgusting.

I'll have to ck that out. Bill usually nails it

Trying too hard to nail "it" got him canned from his last gig.

How many pitchers have had career nights against the Sox this year 20?

Seven down, eight to go.

Tony can fall behind both Billy Sullivan (currently tied at .513) and Eddie Stanky (.511).

Rick Hahn can finish the season with the most games under .500 in White Sox GM history with a 1-7 finish, or tie with a 2-6 finish. The GM Hahn is chasing, Harry Grabiner, was saddled with losing his entire team after KKK Kenesaw Mountain Landis banned for life nine White Sox players acquitted of all charges in a court of law and poor White Sox payrolls over the next quarter century before stepping down after World War II.

Can you believe how bad this team is? This losing streak assures a sub .500 record. Has to be one of the worst seasons of Reinsdorf's ownership. And the future? This is the first time (not counting the ridiculous tank years) in a long time the team has had this bad a team and this bad an outlook for the future.

Not finishing 2nd is gonna really piss off JR.

Getting close.

With the garbage playoff expansion, third is the new second.

Some of what DVS wrote tonight in the game recap at the Sun-Times:

The dark space below the .500 mark is no place to be.

Not for a team in its championship window. Not for an organization that six years ago admitted to being ‘‘mired in mediocrity’’ and launched a rebuild that left its fans waiting through seasons of 67-95, 62-100 and 72-89 in 2017-19 before finally reaching an American League wild-card series in 2020.

With a punchless 4-0 loss Tuesday to the Twins, the free-falling White Sox’ losing streak hit seven games.

The Sox are plunging toward a totally unexpected losing season after two on the right side of .500. The latest loss dropped them to 76-78 and let the third-place Twins (75-79) creep to within one game of them for second.

It could be the eighth losing season in the last 10 for a franchise that has made it to only three postseasons (2008, 2020 and 2021) since the 2005 World Series. They won once in each of those series to go with eight losses, falling well short of the parades general manager Rick Hahn talked about during the planning stages of the rebuild."

Is there a financial payout for finishing second?

There is in horse racing, not in The MLB.

I'd rather see the Brewers in there...maybe the Sox will wake up a bit.

2 1/2 and 4 games up with eight to play and three with the White Sox and Giants each.

Philly ends up at Houston...Brewers home rest of the way.

Actually, looking like 4th place now will be the Mets instead of the Braves.

Way too many and only our boys can make loser pitchers look like Cy Young candidates all year consistently.

Yes! Since we finished second or even third, your financial reward is you don't get one financial award from us anymore going forward!

A smart and quality owner and FO would tell these overpaid losers that we are not going to continue paying you these ridiculous millions to play like s%*# and let our loyal fans down! As a result, we are going to DFA or trade you in the offseason. Go find another team to play like s%*# for and make those millions.
