Moncada's foot must be bothering him enough to not pinch hit there.

Batting Alberto 5th is paying major dividends today....

And that is why you don't hit Alberto fifth...

That inning is yet again, on TA and Luis.

You have to crush that pitch.(the first one, to be clear)

Grifol justed stated that Alberto is a better hitter than Burger.....hope he learns from his mistakes.

I was one to quickly claim Kopech's career is over.  My sense with Kopech is that he as no idea how to approach a hitter.  His FB was so dominant his entire life he's never had to learn.  Now his FB is pedestrian, his breaking ball command suspect, and change up command still a work in progress.  Now he's trying to learn how to pitch at the big league level and I don't suspect it will go very well. 

Lance on the other hand is just fat and old. 

That is a fair analysis of Kopech. I tend to think that he will figure it out and be a serviceable pitcher, but I don’t think he will be a star. I also think he could also belong in the pen, but they didn’t get another starter to allow him to be that. 
 

I’m optimistic Lynn also still has something in the tank, even if he’s fat and old.

I get those vibes too, but I still sense improvement coming that will change that narrative. There are signs that support a continuation of last year and a difference from then.
